short people advise

I am sick of everyone saying because i am short that is why my bench is so much. I know i don't have far to push it up

I was wondering what i could say to counter react this. I figure i am over reacting over this issue.

i am 5ft 5 in. just in case anyone wanted to know.

Being short doesnt have much to do with your bench, unless by extension it means you have short arms, which would be beneficial for benching.

If some mean tall person says you being short is why you have a good bench, ask them why their deadlift sucks so much when they have long arms (which are beneficial to DLs).
 
I think you're over reacting and I wouldn't let anyone get on your nerves.

They probably have a complex because they can't bench as much as you and they trying to belittle you.
 
I'm 5'4''...I hear that excuse all the time.....I feel ya bro....I guess IF it is true, it wouldnt make sence to be mad over that....As far as I see it tall or not...muscles still do the same thing and work the same way....

Tall people do have more levers which makes it easier in some excersises ex. deadlift. I am 5'8" and bench a lot but no one said it was cuz I was short. Then again 5'8" really isn't SHORT. It's the low end of average.

How much can you bench bro? Just asking. I can press a hell of a lot more than guys your hieght and I'm flirting with 6 feet. The majority of the strongest men I have met where taller than me.

I haven't maxed in while and i recently hurt my shoulder but my best was 325lb for 6 reps. i did 345 for 2 reps.
