Well for the time being my Dr. does not want to add hcg shots to my TRT. I feel he has a good point on not including Hcg with T shots. He showed me the last test I had that he checked my LH and FSH. To prove his point my LH was 3.33 mIU/mL range 2 to 12 and FSH was 5 mIU/mL range 1 to 12. So what he is saying if I add 250 IU's two days before my next shot of Depo T I will kill my LH stop it. He told me a lot of men that are primary still have LH and FSH. My tests came back on the low side and he felt that the starting dose of 100 mg. every week was to low but to be safe that is what we started at. So now he upped my shots to 150 mgs. every week. But if I don't do better in 6 weeks he will try giving me Hcg. I was shocked that he told me to try fish oil the good stuff from the deep waters. He told me it will make my T shots last longer and help with the joint and muscle pain. Plus help keep my E2 in check.

I am shocked at what I am reading on using Fish Oil for Low T. From what I have read just the benefit if less joint and muscle pain is worth taking it. But now I am finding out that it keeps your Testosterone levels from dropping so fast. And it help with libido and orgasm's plus it keeps your E2 in check. Here is a link to a search. http://tinyurl.com/59rwm Check it out and let me know what you guys think.

In my search to find the best price and product I came across a link to the Testosterone Nation and these guys were saying the best price is at Costco's or Sam's club. I found at Costco's they have a Fish Oil called Kirkland Signature concentrated Enteric Coated 850 mgs. with EPA=240 mgs and DHA=200 mg. 180 soft Gels for $11.55. This would be a months supply for me my Dr. said to take 3 grams per day. What do you all think.

While certain benefits of fish oil may be exagerated, fish oils are clearly beneficial. The evidence is overwelming.

Oh so that's it. I bumped my dose from 2g/d to 6g/d a few weeks ago, and I didn't get all those miracle effects. If I get modest increase in HDL, i'll be satisfied.

When I was looking at all of the kinds of Fish Oil out there they have 1000 mg. pills that are very low on EPA and DHA so when you take your 6 grams how much of this are you getting.

Each 1 g cap contains 300 mg of EPA and 200 mg of DHA. They're from Carlson. Several people on this board like them a lot. My doc recommended Nordic Naturals.

You can also get it in pure liquid form. I don't use fish oil, but I do use flax oil as part of my diet. (Flax is another type of essential fatty acid). The diet I'm on has me take flax with the protein shakes I drink and the amount would require many capsules. A tsp of flax is around 15g fat and works just fine.

I have also used Udo's Choice oil. On his web site, Udo says that a tbsp. a day will improve your skin texture. I tried it and it seemed to. Can't say that I noticed any other subjective benefits to it, and don't know what effect it had on cardiovascular health. It costs, though.

SWALE said that Fish Oil is superior to Flax oil. He said you need long-chain omega-3's, Not the short - chain that flax provides. I was using Flax seed oil. I am going to try the Fish Oil and if I feel any better I will post it.

HCG shots are of limited result in cases of primary hypogonadism (testicular failure). It does stimulate the otherwise ignored LH receptors elsewhere in the body, though, too.

Flaxseed oil has to be some of the nastiest stuff I've ever tasted...and I've tasted some nasty stuff! :p

I've tried peanut butter chasers, using flax oil in a salad dressing mix, putting it in shakes...it always tastes the same...TERRIBLE. If somone ever did something terrible to me and I wanted revenge, I would strap them down and make them drink flax oil. :D

You can take flax capsules, but I'm taking 5 Kirkland Signature (Costco) capsules of fish oil every night. That yields 5g total, with 750 mg of EPA and 600 mg DHA. Doing this costs $4/month and I've never bought anything from Costco that I would call junk. I think they strive not to sell junk.

Yes the flax tastes terrible, but I put it on the spoon, drink it and chase it with my protein drink. I actually lost a lot of weight by adding flax to my diet as a positive fat source (the whole diet plan included a good protein / carb / fat ratio provided by my trainer). Beforehand I was misguided into thinking "Fat = Bad".

If you insist on taking flax, a company called Barleans makes an oil which I thought actually tastes good, kind of nutty. You keep it in th refrigerator.

I never want to put these expensive oils in the blender because they tend to stick to the sides and are therefore wasted.

Here it is 5 day sence I got the 150 mg. shot and I am feeling dam good. I have been doing a lot better. I started on the Fish Oil mybe this will help also. I got up this morning pain free I went for a 45 min. walk and then after lunch I did some work on my underground sparkler system on off my cans had a crack in the elbow I had to dig a hole and undo the clamps. It was a lot of bending over and I feel fine after fixing it no pain.

I have not had adverse taste problems with the flax seed capsules or oils. Be sure you store the stuff in the fridge or it can become rancid. That may be where the bad taste comes from.

It is the fish oil taste that I find disgusting. After just taking one or two 1000mg capsules, I belch the stuff up for hours. I want to take it, but can't stand the effects afterwards.

Fish oil is supposed to be an incredible product for reducing inflammation in the body.

Well so far using the Costco Kirkland Signature "Enteric Coated" brand I have no fish taste and no belching up the taste of fish. They sell it in 850 mg. tables 180 tables for $11.55. I found out about it reading the Testosterone Nation boards doing a Google search. The guys said this was the best for the money. It does not dissolve until it gets into the small intestinal track.

I adjusted to the fish oil caps after a while myself. I second the vote on costco's brand.
