Should I still lift while in the Fire Academy

I have been loving the 5x5 and was right in week 4 of my best cycle of it yet and started the fire academy. Its a paramilitary type setting and there is a few miles of running then lots and lots of stairs. up and down 4 flights of stairs over and over. Should I still try to lift regular or should I back the regularity down to two days rest in between each workout, or should I just do an extended workout on the weekend tryign to cover all the bases. squat deadlift etc. or should i not lift at all considering its only going to get harder as we add gear over the next several weeks?
