Should more MMA fighters speak out about PEDs

UFC Heavyweight Brendan Schaub thinks we should stop telling kids that cheaters (steroid users) never win because they usually do. On his "The Fighter and The Kid" podcast, he says he can't think of any good reason to tell up-and-coming UFC fighters NOT to use steroids:

OT a little bit, but I watched a special on HBO last night about the high rate of domestic violence among pro MMA figters. It is twice the rate of NFL players. I wonder just how much gear use has to do with those stats.
Do you recall the name of the show? I believe it was "real sports", I wanted to check it out when it aired last year, but didn't have HBO.

I still think football takes the cake for domestic violence. Didn't some NFL jackass knock his girlfriend out in an elevator, then drag her out by her feet ?!!!

Definitely wouldn't hurt to donate a pint of blood every couple months, especially with eq, to make sure your red blood cell count doesn't get too high. Better safe than sorry... Plus it's free

Really?? Never had to do that before. I usually run Test at 250/w and EQ at 3-400mg/w. Usually 20 weeks plus. Never used an AI before. Nolvadex yes. Should I run a mild dose of AI ??!! Maybe 0.25 every other day.?? Thanks boys !!

I won't overstep my boundaries and make any suggestions for AI (although everything I've read indicates that those compounds at low dosage shouldn't require it) But I do have experience with high red blood cell count. All AAS raise your RBC (make your blood thicker than perhaps it should be) but from what I understand, EQ raises more than most. A simple blood test will show if your RBC is high, and with those compounds, it's more likely than not. Simply donating a pint of blood periodically will usually eleviate any concerns. I HAVE to "get rid of" a pint every month because my RBC is naturally too high (and I'm on trt). I believe EQ is one of the most noted for (excessively?) elevating RBC. It's a simple fix for peace of mind though.

I take a low dose aspirin every morning. It's a decent short term aid. My RBC was dangerously high, but donating a pint (I don't actually "donate" my cousin is a nurse, so she comes by once a month, and we do what they call a "pump and dump", she's drains a pint into a measuring cup, and we flush. It's faster and more convenient for me than a blood care place like Carter, Carter is however free) I had to switch doctors a couple years back, and my blood work was so good (after many years of dangerously high RBC) that my new doctor would not have even known I had a blood condition had I not told her. However if I go, say two months, without dumping, my doctor says "your levels are high, it's time to dump". But I don't let it get high by dumping every 30 to 45 days.

What if some chick gets my blood full of Test ?? Do they clean it first? Check for disease? I have never given blood outside of a medical checkup.

You can always donate, under a "theraputic necessity" type thing, weather they donate it to those in need or dump it, is determined by certain criteria. It's free and they are always kind and gracious either way. You may need a doctors refferal for the therapuetic dump, but hey, if your levels are high, it's worth it.

After reading that, and knowing there's no harm, you do have to make an ethical decision, however, if you want to donate blood, for free, without a doctors referal (a donation that helps you as well as others)... They will ask questions "similar to", "have you used needles?" and "Have you used any elicit drugs?"... Knowing the information you know about there being no harm, and you will be helping others and yourself, you have to make the ethical decision weather you want to lie or not. All I will say is, I'm very "liberal" on that, because they're going to do tests to make sure it's healthy disease free blood regardless. In some people's eyes I may be wrong for saying that, ethically. But that's just my opinion.

Both on occasion. I just need more time!
