Has anyone out there ever heard of anyone ever doing a full Bodybuilding Shoulder routine before doing Chest? It doesn't make sense to me because it would seem your shoulders are your weak link in benching. I don't think that your Chest would never get truly fatigued because your shoulders would give out first. It would be like doing Triceps before Chest... again, wouldn't the Triceps give out before the Chest?
In my current Bodybuilding routine I do the bare minimum of Shoulders after my Chest work, because I think that most of your Shoulder development comes from pressing anyway. Also, I rarely see Powerlifters even doing any direct shoulder work, maybe a raise here and there at the end of bench work, but never really going all out on Shoulders. I feel like if I do them after my Chest work, they then get the max rest from any pressing whatso-ever, and then they are all rested up and stronger. I know some Pro Bodybuilders train this way from time to time as a change, but it is not the norm because you obviously can't move as much weight doing them after Chest.
Someone recently told me to do all my Shoulder exercises before my Chest work... on the same day!!!!!!!?????? I was really confused by this, and didn't really know what to say. From what I understand, the major three groups being hit while doing a pushing movement are the Chest, Shoulders and Triceps... others as well, but from a BB sense. It sounded like if I went and did a full forearm workout and then tried to go and Deadlift without any wraps... yea, that would go over well!!!!
