Small blast advise - 42 years old

Hey all,

I’m 42, 160 lb at 13% bf and 5’10. Lifted off and on in my 20s but life got in the way. Long story short, I’m on TRT now and am doing a small blast. I don’t feel I have years to put on muscle since I’m already in my 40s. I’m currently on 200 mg test cyp, 200 mg nandrolone and 200 mg masteron prop. I’m running this for 14 weeks.

My question is, if I were to bump up my masteron prop to 300 per week, should I also bump up my test to 300 per week? I can add 100 mg prop to my current test cyp. I’m worried about the masteron inhibiting my estrogen and crashing. Initial plan was to run mast at 300 per week but I wanted to see how I reacted to the substance so I started low.

Goal is to put on 6-8 lbs in 14 weeks.

This is all a bit personally dependant.
I know I would be fine at those doses for e2.

But a few guys I know wouldnt.

I know its a stereotypical answer.... but bloodwork to confirm estradiol is going to be your only truth, since we all aromatise differently.

That bring said...
I would definitely feel comfortable in your shoes, bumping Test to 300/350
My personal ratio for this exact stack is...

350T
300Deca
400 mast

That being said, I aromatise alot, so that type of ratio may not work for you.

Im not going to give you advice on your blast...BUT... please get it out of your head that you are too old and don’t have years to put on muscle!!! 42 is not old! I too took a long layoff from lifting and the lifestyle- 12 years to be exact. I didn’t start back till I was 46. I’m 50 now and have been going strong for 4 solid years and still gaining. Their are some new challenges involved for me but the biggest challenge is getting out of your own head- and not letting others get in. Best of luck to you young man;)

That is an easily attainable goal on TRT. You need to take a serious look at your diet and training.

I was natty at 40 (not TRT not anything), so don't tell me I don't know what I am talking about because I have never been 40, LOL! On TRT this should be a ridiculously easy goal for you to meet.

I was going to suggest that you gain up to 170 before starting your cycle. Then at least you will not be wasting it because you are eating and training properly.

And, no, you aren't. The scale and body fat percentages do not lie. People do.

Ah, geez, never mind, I see you already started. Hopefully that 1:1 test:deca does not affect your erections.

All the little tweaks you are talking about will do nothing when it comes to your goal. Figure out your diet and training. Like I said, you could meet that goal on your TRT alone, easily. This is not even disputable.
 
As it is, however, you are going to hit 6-8 pounds much sooner than 14 weeks, but it will be water weight.

I'm actually quite impressed you started TRT/Gear at 40 and you're competing now with a great physique

I appreciate your advise. Honestly, I thought long and hard about this decision prior to starting my blast. Honestly, I thought the doses are fairly low compared to what I’ve seen online. I suppose I wanted to accelerate the process. I started off at 150 last year and I just wanted a little boost. Anyhow, I appreciate your advise and good intentions. Thank you sir.

Thank you, I appreciate your story. It motivates motivates me! Most of my peers/friends are overweight and have embraced the thought pattern that they can’t be physically fit anymore and their best days have passed. I don’t want to be them and want my best days to be ahead.

Thank you for your advise. Do you run an AI with those doses or does the Mast work well at keep the estrogen in check.
 
You don’t need to run a cycle to get from 160 lbs to 170. Hell, you could get to 190 pretty easily just on TRT.

What you need is food, not more steroids. If you’re 160 you’re clearly not eating enough. If you’re not eating enough, steroids won’t do anything for you.

I’d get yourself a calorie tracker like MyFitnessPal and get yourself to 190 lbs with just your TRT. Once you’re there, reconsider doing a cycle, but using drugs to do what you could easily do naturally is not the way to go. It sets you up for an unhealthy mindset of letting the drugs do the work.

I'm impressed. I'm 48 and just started back lifting about a year ago after about 15 year layoff. I could tell things aren't really going well, had my T tested and just received a prescription for TRT yesterday.

At 50 what are you doing if I may ask? TRT? cruise/blast? what dosages are you on?

I have been blasting and cruising for 3 years now. I lifted for about 9 months till I did my first cycle back. I tried to pct after that and found out that I don’t handle pct meds the same as when I was younger, especially clomid. I was an emotional wreck to say the least. That’s when I decided to b&c. I keep things simple on a blast, mostly test and another compound, I always liked testC and Deca but am still experimenting. I pay most attention to my heart- blood lipids now that im 50. I cruise as long as it takes to get my numbers back into the normal range. Last cruise was 22 weeks. Im blasting now. That’s all the info I will give out about my personal blasts- everybody is different and responds differently. I just know that what I’m doing now is what I want to do, no matter what the consequences are. This is what keeps me going, this lifestyle. I almost drank my life away, just like dear old dad.

To be honest, the doses are low, especially compared to what you have seen online. My only point was that you do not need even those low doses to add 6-8 pounds. Frankly, since you are set on running it anyway, you ought to set your sights a lot higher in terms of gains over the next 14 weeks.

Get your training intensity and food up and you should be 180 and leaner than you are now.

Thank you. I planned on ramping up the calories as the nandrolone reached max levels around 6-7 weeks. I planned on eating 300 over TDEE to keep my fat gain low. Also ramping up sets and intensity as my recovery improves along with the nandrolone build up.

Much more above 300 from your TDEE, I think the biggest thing here for you is going to be more food, like lots of it, mostly clean if you can but don’t be afraid too Add in 1500 more calories a day from a little bit of fast food or “junk”, the goal here is to get bigger right? Any extra bloof that you put on can be cut later brother.
