Small Problem Need Help..

ok here's the deal..

its summer time and i'm more motivated than ever to get bigger, leaner, and meaner. for the last month, my motivation has been at an all time high..
and its gettin more intense every day.

when i leave the gym i feel great..
but then i get home and cant wait til the next workout..

so the problem i have is fear of overtraining as its seems etched in stone that one workout per day is plenty.

i wanna train twice a day..
a heavy noonish workout for a big muscle like legs, back, chest.
and then a nighttime workout for a small muscle like abs, bis, tris, or calves...

from my understanding, some of the pros who are using heavy sauce train twice a day.. 4-5 times a week. now i know some will say thats overtraining but lets ask a serious question:

if taking 1g of sauce per week, will training hardcore twice a day/4-5 time per week be potentially catabolic?
if yes, would 2g per week be catabolic?
if still yes, what would you advise???

i just cant take this once a day workout routine...
and im a strong believer in taking advantage of times like these to maximize the potential.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

satch, i agree about taking advantage of those times when you have an overabundance of energy. good call bro. however, i'm not sure if there is any magical threshold beyond which you will be overtraining, in terms of aas dosage. i mean, it's different for everyone. someone may overtrain on 2g of aas while another may not overtrain on 1/2g. go figure.

if you don't have a job, like the pros, it is do-able. the important thing, imho, is to monitor yourself ed for signs of overtraining like your energy levels. keep tabs on your appetite as well. keep tabs on your sleep patterns, your moods, etc. if you see and feel the signs of overtraining, just cut down on the training frequency a bit for a little while, until the signs go away. then go back at it. that's just what i would do.

i would have to agree with chip on this one too. cause pros don't have anything else to do, most of the time and their day consists of eating, sleeping and working out ... so their muscles get alot of rest and recoop.(sp)

Yeah I think it has less to do with the sauce and more to do with genetics.
Also I think if you were to cut the volume down on the workouts and do like 30 minutes/workout you may be able to get away with it.

Overtraining or under recooperating?

I think the following will cut down on possible overtraining/under recooperating:
*Rest.
*Gear (and enough of it).
*Calories.

I think that food is the big one here folks. Eat more, rest a little more and tear it up twice a day!!

Git 'em Satch!!!

Its only over training if its cronic or long term. A short term (month) of 2x/day workouts will be a great way to induce new muscle growth... assuming your consuming close to 2gm per pound of protien. -ES

Satch, I have actually been trying the same approach. I have just felt so energetic and determined in the gym lately that I felt the need to split it up.
What I like to do is kinda like you said.
Day 1 morning workout Chest
night workout biceps
Day2 morning workout Back
night triceps
Day3 morning Quads
night calves + abs
Day4 mornig Delts + traps
night Hams
Day 5 rest.
Repeat.

Each time I train I train with sick intensity, I know Im only working out one bodypart so I make sure I fycking rip that muscle up. I eat tons of calories and I natuarally gain pretty easy.
So when im on the sauce its the only way I feel I am taking full advantage to the gear/excess food/training.

If I feel too weak one day, Ill take it easy, I train very instinctive.
hit me up with aPm if you wanna talk more on this.
Oh and I feel that your post workout shake/meal has alot to do with the second workout.
