OK, I'll give a little background info first and then tell whats going on. I'm posting in hopes that you guys can help guide me on what to expect because this is all new and uncharted territory for me.
First, I was involved in a major accident about a year ago. I was hit by a car while doing my job and had serious injuries. Those included, but were not limited to: broken back (2 places), broken ribs (3), bruised liver, punctured lung, and concussion. I was a normal, healthy, energetic 26 year old. My wife had just become pregnant with our 2nd child. I was a very muscular 165 lbs with 8-10 % body fat at only 5'6" tall. Then the accident happened.
It is now a year later, I have recovered enough to be in the gym again. I'm back up to 148 lbs with 13% bodyfat. Most would say that I have progressed well considering what happend. Well, most of those people do not know that my wife and I have been suffering from my low libido, fatigue, and general state of depression. I finally got the nerve up to tell my general practitioner. He did a basic blood panel that included lipids and test levels. Came back with a level of 312. He sent me to an Endo, who retested more comprehensively and came back with 392 and 80. This doctor said that I seem to be suffering from hypogonadism. He wants to see my test levels around 800 and above 120 since I am only 28 now. (Just had a birthday two weeks ago.)
He ordered some new MRI/CT scans to make sure that my brain is not bleeding anywhere and is functioning normally. I am scheduled to have those in the next week or so. He then wants to place me on some kinda gel, I think he called it Testum (sp?). He said that if that goes well, I will probably be on that for the rest of my life.
So, first, I'm worried about this gel stuff. I think I would rather pin myself weekly than put some messy crap on that could get on either of my daughters or wife. Second, will I need HCG and an AI with this stuff (yes, I've been reading a lot on here about trt/hrt)? Third, will I get my libido back and be able to make strength/muscle gains in the gym again like before? I just want to be back to normal again, bros.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate any help or suggestions that are offered.
