It makes some guys feel important to assasinate a members credibility or a potential sources credibility. I’ll say it again. I know for certain of one person who doesn’t even train and spends 90% of the time in the UG talking nonsense behind a keyboard. They don’t use any sources in the UG anyway.

i think it's all in how a review is written and how that member carries on before and after the review.

Example. The Naps review thread. There's some honest reviews in there. Guys who are satisfied with what they got and state it plain and simple. Then there's the discount whores that write a review that stops just short of saying that Naps gear cures cancer.

Usually the dick riders are easy to spot. They rush to the defense of a source or talk shit in other source threads, while the vast majority of their overall posts are in the thread of the source that they've chosen to lube up for.

But honestly. The big picture is this. You, me, Eman, The Bull and every other mother fucker here are all just dudes behind a monitor or in my case, a phone. Most of what we write, (when we aren't citing factual information), is just the opinion of one guy to another on an anonymous internet forum.

Is it really going to effect your life when someone on the other side of a screen, likely in another state or even another country called you a shill?

i think sometimes we take this forum a little to seriously. Anyone can call anyone anything, but at the end of the day, it's still just an opinion.

Okay, now that i got that off my chest.

i think reviews should be kept simple. What you got, t/a time, how long you ran it, how it worked out for you. Keep personal feelings regarding the source aside. Unless the source is your wife or girlfriend, let them handle their business and beefs with other members.

This is a great thread cause as someone new to this board it is hard to determine who is a dick rider or someone giving there honest opinion about a source that is great. Most of us came here to learn, get insight on the whole gear game, like myself. Before I send my hard earned money to a source I never dealt with in my life,I'm depending on BROTHA's on these boards to give there honest opinion on sources to keep from me from getting scammed. So for those here to truly help and assist it is much appreciated but for those here to only help them selves by giving fake reviews for discounts, free gear,or what ever it may be, As Cdnguy likes to say (Get F***Ked Shill)

This is a great thread cause as someone new to this board it is hard to determine who is a dick rider or someone giving there honest opinion about a source that is great. Most of us came here to learn, get insight on the whole gear game, like myself. Before I send my hard earned money to a source I never dealt with in my life,I'm depending on BROTHA's on these boards to give there honest opinion on sources to keep from me from getting scammed. So for those here to truly help and assist it is much appreciated but for those here to only help them selves by giving fake reviews for discounts, free gear,or what ever it may be, As Cdnguy likes to say (Get F***Ked Shill)

Well, the way i see it is i don't really judge anything based off of new members. Some sources admittedly give discounts to customers who post positive reviews. People open up accounts to post reviews just to get that discount. Also, there are members, long standing members, who shill. Maybe get freebies or discounts and there are probably just as many (long standing) members who attack sources because they are working for other sources. You gotta step back and look at what makes sense. Is there a reason a source is getting bashed? Is there merrit to it. Also, i wouldn't go off of 1 or 2 vets opinions. I judge my opinion off the totality of reviews. So basically, to understand there is shilling going on in this board is only half the picture. There is also just as much reverse shilling going on where folks get theirs to bring down the opposition.

Anybody who buys gear from a source based off one review they read in a 500 page thread shouldn't be surprised when they get scammed. All you have to do is read the last 10-20 pages or so of those huge threads in the underground and you will get an idea of whether the source is trustworthy or not. The problem is that some people don't want to put any effort into finding a source and decide to believe the first positive review they see. These are the people that fall for the shills' bullshit.

News flash: if you fiend for your gear like a fucking crackhead and have no patience when it comes to finding a source, you're going to get burned.

This is true, Shilling goes both ways in that shills praise and bash sources for there own gain, And it is up to me to find out if a source can be trusted, like another member said in this thread, RESEARCH helps paint a clearer picture of a source.
