Somebody help with pic attachment

I'm a dumbass with computer stuff. But will somebody please give me the 101 on pic attachments.
I've tried attaching pic's and no luck. My pictures are in jpeg format also.Any help appreciated.

What size are they? if they are too big they won't post... you may need to lower the quality...
