The age old question.
Looking for opions.

Looking to mass up the lower body.
What is going to give me the bigger bang for my buck while on an AAS cycle:
Smith Machine Squats or Free Weight Squats?
Thanks

Hey Foreman;
Been lifting about 7 years now.
After 7 years, still finding it tough to get gains being a shift worker.

Training Schedule now:
Day 1 Chest and Biceps
Day 3 Legs (squats, press and curls)
Day 5 Shoulders and triceps
Day 7 Back and calves

Just started by 2nd AAS cycle Tuesday
Andropen 275 2x/week
Decabol 250 2x/week
D/bol 30m ed
Novaldex and Clomid PCT

On cycle I would do

Upper
Lower
off
off
Upper
Lower
Off

or

Push
off
legs
off
pull
off
Repeat

And 90% of that would be free weights, no smith ever and nothing behind the nech.

Although science is an oft-overshadowed component of decision making in the gym. The evidence is abundant that single plane training (smith machine) is an excellent way to cause an injury.

Any exercise that requires you to balance yourself and the load will have more CNS activation than one that doesn't. If moving your entire body through space, whilst doing the above, that's best. In fact, if I could find a way to have different sized people sit on my back while doing pushups, I might think more about chest work. But seeing as how I might crush my sternum, break my nose, or lack the selection of willing participants, I guess I'll further forgo the uselessness that is the bench press.

Anyway.....Just Squat.
