Stamina

Hi,

I'm a 46 year old man in decent shape. I've been lifting for the past two years. Nothing hard core just enough to keep myself on the lean side. For the past few months I've been trying to up my workouts but my stamina seems really low. For example, I can bench a first set of 10 to 12 reps but by my third set, I'm lucky if I get to 6-8 reps. Is this normal? I eat well and supplement with protein shakes and creatine but there seems to be wall I can't get past. Does anyone have any advice for any sups that really helped them with their stamina?

2 years is long enough to reach a sticking point:) the harder u push, and the better your diet the quicker you will get to the next sticking point:)

At 2yr point I'd say go lighter on weight and bang out your sets with only a minute break..... Or pyramid up, or down, or my favorite both with just a minute break..... As soon as your able to grab more weight with shorter breaks slam some heavy stuff back on there and pick it up.

Even though sticking sucks.... Your at the cool point in working out, now you get to start adding in a FEW advanced techniques and mostly learning your body and how to push your limits:)

Keep it up man, and watch that diet.

Thanks for the advice and the boost. I'm hoping to transform myself a bit before I hit 50! I just hope my joints hold up! Thanks again!

Hell yeah keep it up and crush them ol lady's LOL... But seriously young bucks worry about just picking up heavy stuff..... Take your time in planning diet, and light enough but heavy enough to keep good form and squeezing the muscle.... And you'll pass up there Burger King muscles every time lol
