just curious, where were you pinning?Had my first Pulmonary Oil Microembolism, needless to say that sucked. 1 day out and still feel like I cant breath. 1ml MCT cyp.
Thigh, 1/2 25 guage. I went a little farther on the outside. 5'11 215 about 15% bf.just curious, where were you pinning?
Damn, that worries me. I pin exclusively in thighs with same needle length and size. Coming up on 6 month mark too.Thigh, 1/2 25 guage. I went a little farther on the outside. 5'11 215 about 15% bf.
Been injecting that way for about 6 months.
Mine was absolutely awful like as bad as it gets and happened on Thanksgiving lol. It happened while I has a severe case of pneumonia and I literally stopped breathing because I couldn't clear it with all the fluid in my lungs and how weak they were. Not even exaggerating my wife's an RN and knows what true not breathing is and she had the phone out to call 911 when I finally cleared it.Had my first Pulmonary Oil Microembolism, needless to say that sucked. 1 day out and still feel like I cant breath. 1ml MCT cyp.
So what is the best way to avoid it at the thigh/quad injection sites? Just visibly avoiding veins if you can see them and using a minimum gauge/length needle? It can definitely make you think you’re about to die if you didn’t know what was happening lmao
I've been doing quad and delt injections for 7 years 27G 1/2". It's just bad luck imo and not much you can do unless subQ. The only method I used to do was pull back on syringe to see if any blood comes out before injecting but I don't do that anymore. Edit...spoke to my dr. He says its wise to pull back on the syringe everytime to see if you hit a vein. whoops. So what is the best way to avoid it at the thigh/quad injection sites? I've heard of doing this too, but haven't ever done it. What's your bodyfat % to be able to go IM with 27G 1/2" needle? I have those on hand for subq, but have yet to try them IM.I've been doing quad and delt injections for 7 years 27G 1/2". It's just bad luck imo and not much you can do unless subQ. I have never had one injecting into my quads, I’ve a bunch over the years from glute injections. I always know when it’s coming as I can taste the oil before the coughing fit starts. Best way to avoid is to aspirate the syringe before injecting to see if you pull back blood and reposition if you do.So what is the best way to avoid it at the thigh/quad injection sites? 10-13%. Never had an issue. It's deep enough.I've heard of doing this too, but haven't ever done it. What's your bodyfat % to be able to go IM with 27G 1/2" needle? I have those on hand for subq, but have yet to try them IM.
You hit a vein. It happened to me this weekend doing a glute shot forgot to pull back on the syringe this one time lol. HappensFuck I feel for you man I just had the same thing happen with 1 ml of test and 1 ml of deca, in the quad also, got about 1 ml in and all the sudden extreme hot flash and could feel it in my lungs stopped injecting immediately but it was to late, felt like I had the flu for about 24 hours
yes. watch a youtube video. It'll show the process. So just give it a slight pull and see if blood goes into the syringe?
pinning into your chest feels scary, even though it makes sense.Majority of veins are shallow. Using a longer needle will put you deeper in the muscle. Less chance of putting oil in vein. You might pierce a shallow vein when pinning, but the oil won’t go into the vein. This issue is most common with short needles. I use 5/8” in quad and v glute. 1” in glute and 1/2” in delts and chest
