MESO-Rx Sponsor STANFORD PHARMA PUBLIC SALE 10/24/21

Thinking about giving L Carnitine for the first time. Does it really increase androgen receptor sensitivity? I know it is good for fat loss, what about health and general well being? I take it orally now. But from what I’m reading that doesn’t do shit really lol. I see Stan has some at 200mg.

is literally just an amino acid found in protein foods, it would be like wanting to inject protein powder

I use 600mg pre cardio, it increases sweating, makes me feel like i can breath a bit deeper, gives me a little bit more energy in a deficit. As long as you are getting enough carnitine from your diet I dont think the fat burning or receptor upregulation is anything you will notice.
Acutely before cardio though, I notice a difference.

This ignores a mountain of scientific and anecdotal evidence.

It’s not on par with AAS in terms of effect, but there’s a reason I and many other competitive runners (including the Nike team famously!) IV’d it.

While I no longer run competitively (muscle is way cooler) it is still an everyday item for me and is a nice salt on top. In a big stack you’ll likely not notice it, but there’s a huge body of evidence showing many performance and health benefits.

Using the injectable version nearly year around. Gives you a little cardio boost, improvise lipids slightly but mostly tryg., improves Homa, lowers glucose levels a bit. Overall a nice tool but gives you little benefit. In combination however with other things it becomes a really good tool.

got it guys. Any thing on the androgen receptor upregulation. Or is this b.s.? Lol
I can't speak to this specifically, but I've used it and seen modest increases in overall leanness (without dieting for a cut), a better pump, and some more energy in the gym.

Does it compare to test or anything else? Of course not but there is a modest benefit

My understanding is that orally you would need to basically 10x the dosage to achieve the equivalent injectable dose due to stomach acid / liver breakdown. So 600mg injectable = 6000mg oral

Though I just was the one who sang a love song to L-Carnitine, I don’t think you should take L-Carnitine expecting anything amazing in this regard. It’s not well studied and borderline pseudoscience in that regard.

That said, it absolutely helps with nutrient partitioning, fat burning, lipids, glucose, sperm health (if you care), vascular health, etc, which is a force multiplier when you’re already using AAS/fat burners/ancillaries.

If it also happens to slightly upregulate androgen receptors? Sick. But don’t take it for that, take it for everything else.

nowadays "science" regarding buzzwords like recovery and performance is garbage. the market has grown too large, theres too much money to be made from the "optimization" crowd. if you look, you can find that everything shows "many performance and health benefits". studies are nonsense.

its literally protein found in food, no one can convince me that injecting an amino acid found in a cheeseburger is doing something special. amino acid tablets were a thing back in the day, now its injectable because there is less stigma surrounding injections and IVs. Now everyone wants to do some joe rogan IV and TRT and there are companies looking for any reason to upcharge clients that want to throw their money away

Respectfully, you’re an idiot.

Creatine is found in food, but supplementing it is one of the most proven performance enhancers on Earth.

Testosterone is made by your balls, supplementing it boosts your performance.

Absolute fucking nonsense you’re spewing.

You must be paid by Big Carnitine to spout this stuff

Disclaimer: this is a joke I love injectable l-carnitine and use it everyday

You resort to name calling because otherwise you'd be out a lot of money, wasting your time injecting an amino acid, comparing carnitine to testosterone is a false equivalency...

Also, is creatine injected?

I was going to write a long response but it’s not worth it. Creatine is bioavailable orally, carnitine is not, hence the injection.

I’m sympathetic to your general idea that people inject many things there’s no reason to, because they could easily ingest it orally and get the same effect. No disagreements there.

This does not fall into that category, and to believe so is to be ignorant. Not worth the breath to argue it. If you think you’re smarter than all the doctors and scientists on the Nike performance team, then so be it. I admire the confidence.

Using an appeal to authority fallacy... go check out the programs that super scientists have college/pro athletes/celebrities do... there is a larger picture here and a lot of nuance.

I don't mean to ruin your placebo affect or hurt anyones pockets. I usually remember to refrain from filling up source threads, I will continue the discussion the controversial opinion thread.
