Starting var with period

My wife was going to start a cycle of 5mg/day. This will be her first cycle and she was wondering when she should start it around her period if it matters or not.

To my knowledge it shouldn’t matter, however it may cause her period to change. Possibly no period at all while on cycle. I actually have an iud and don’t have a period anymore but when I’m on cycle, I do have some random spotting. Hope this helps.

My period was kinda all over the place at 10mg. But nothing too weird
