Steroid use in military

Most of the guys I know in the military take steroids but started after boot camp

How common is it and do supervisors care at all l?

If your chain of command got suspicious, your commander would have to order steroid testing, and you'd be booted out like any other illegal drug user.

Steroids are not part of standard random or security clearance drug tests.

KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, and you'll be fine. Mention it to JUST ONE GUY, and he'll be the one to get a DUI and try to lessen his punishment by ratting you out. He'll get a letter of reprimand, and you'll be the one struggling to get a job at McDonalds with a bad discharge.

If anything there are definitely guys higher up and NCOs taking them, especially in more physically demanding jobs. Nobody really cares as long as you keep it to yourself. However, if you do start making enemies in higher positions, don’t be surprised if you’re getting “random” drug tests.

I still gotta decide if I wanna come off and join army I mean I need the money badly but since I've been blasting and cruise for 3 years it might take me a while to recover.

I know it sounds stupid but my parents are really against gear I gotta move out I respond really well to it though and haven't had side effects

Been applying to jobs I hope I find something man damn but the army sounds good cause you get that respect and are paid to stay in shape which is what I'm looking for

Honestly roid use is hardly a major concern in the military. If it's something you stick in their face it'll be an issue. But if you can keep your mouth shut you can be like the other tens of thousands who never have an issue.

It's the mouth shut part most have a problem with though.

You can't even tell your woman. You just never, ever know who'll turn on you.

Beyond that, it's a good way for a young guy to get some direction, build a solid foundation under your feet, experience some rare adventure, earn some respect from society, and gain benefits that will last you a lifetime.

Try to get overseas. Just pick the countries on your dream sheet carefully, ensuring aas availability.

If you're single, it beats the hell out of punching a clock.

I'm applying to jobs everyday lol not having a job is awful and I haven't competed since last year in powerlifting so I've fallen behind.

Honestly the army seems like a great way to move somewhere else but I gotta stay out of trouble and of course not mention the gear use to anybody

Some people do get jealous over it my family tried to start shit

Lucky it's not worse TBH I could be in jail now that would be hell but not having a job is pretty damn close it's horrible

For me being in shape is important and getting a fresh start

Of course I'm not gonna tell anyone about using gear some people might call drug addict etc also it's like cosmetic surgery some people get jealous smh

I am just looking for a job that gives me freedom and benefits of course and also enough money where I can run gear and compete in powerlifting which is my passion

But it's probably gonna take me a year to recover I gotta taper off and everything u know

Man wish I was more responsible with my money and moved out when I had the chance u know smh

You're a clean slate in the military. You can build yourself into a new person, Just remember you start at zero and have to pay your dues like everyone else. But your first few promotions are automatic and all of life's details are handled for you. You never have to be concerned with getting reasonably good, healthy food, decent housing, healthcare. At least not until you get married or move up high enough in rank. In a lot of ways, starting out in the military is life on easy mode once you're out of training. You do your job, and everything else is handled. How many jobs are going to give you a good chunk of working hours to work out?

Should have gotten off 4 months ago on your first fucking post about this to get your life in order.

@Liter O' Test is right. you need to fucking do something dude.

You are a grown ass man and you are prioritizing steroids over possible things to do with your life. You are delaying it probably not for steroids but because you do not want to grow up.

Go get a job at walmart.

This is why we tell kids to not do drugs if they cannot prioritize what is important.
