Where the hell are the spell check police when we need them???? Women and minorities vote overwhelmingly democrat for a reason(That reason isn't good for the US). I will stick with Bush even though that fucker is really pissing me off about a lot of issues. Still beats the alternative.

I'll agree w/you there, THICK! I'm sick and tired of all the free-loading illegals and minorities that get hand-outs simply b/c of their race. America is the "land of opportunity," yet these people can't seem to get their shit together. I also agree w/BS about cutting SS. SS is just another form of welfare that was started in the Great Depression. Plan for your own retirement, and stop counting on the govt to take care of you. The govt was created to GOVERN the people, not PROVIDE for the people!

I checked out that Libertarian site and agree with the vast majority of their stances on taxes, social security, guns, welfare, drugs, education. But not immigration.

I've voted libertarian on local issues but I'm afraid to "waste" my vote on the Pres. election, If they had a real chance I'd vote that way. But thats the problem I'm sure alot of people feel the same way and if we'd all vote Lib. someday they might have a chance. But I'll vote any way I have to to keep a Dem. out of office, at least todays Dems.....11

I lean way conservative when it comes to most issues. Especially government. "Governs least, governs best" (Jefferson?). Welfare is definately a sore subject for those of us who take responsibility for our own needs. However, I do feel that society should somehow provide a way of caring for those who can't (TRULY CAN'T!) provide for themselves; i.e. elderly, handicapped.

The real problem imo is the $$ don't go where we're told they're going. I own a business which employees immigrant labor. These people pay into the system when I take taxes out of their checks. In my experience they never collect SS or any other form of welfare. I'm no economist, but I would think we SHOULD have one hell of a surplus. That is IF the SS cash was staying in the SS fund. It's the same with child support. You pay your money into the system, the government takes their cut, oh yeah and eventually they may give some money to your kids! If you don't pay they put you in jail. Why? Because they care about the kids? Yeah right! Because they didn't get their cut!

I am all for helping out anyone in there time of need. But It's the leaches that are sucking the system dry that I have a problem with and the Dems are more than happy to keep them there as long as they vote. Vote dem. anyway....11

The only problem there, Cyniq, is that the conservatives govern more than the liberals. Sure, the liberals might have a more expensive gov't, but the conservatives have more rules. No drugs, no homo sex, no abortion, no premarital sex, no this, no that.
