Sumo Deadlift Ankle Roll

I have not. I suppose if this happened it would be because of foot/toe positioning being too far inward. In a standard deadlift you want toes pointed straight ahead at shoulder width starting with the bar over mid foot. With sumo you want to be wide with toes pointed slightly out to help with balance. If the toes started too far in on a sumo pull I suppose it could roll the ankle but it would be awkward feeling as hell to engage the lift that way and would not feel stable to even a novice or intermediate lifter.
