Do any of you guys remember this organization? It was ran by a gentleman named Dr. Darrel Latch. He went all over putting on push/pull meets. His meets were more for fun and to get novice lifters into the sport. His kids traveled with him and were spotters and loaders. As long as the lifters had fun, the meet was a success.

reading all these log, I remember all the people I’ve met in powerlifting. Darrel was one of the good guys

I hear you. For me, my bench sucked.

many probably never heard of this organization, he just wanted to get new lifters involved and interested in the sport. He passed several years ago and I don’t think the kids wanted to carry it on. But if you wanted to talk power lifting he was your friend for life.

Darrell Latch was a good man. Chiro. by trade. Went around the Midwest in the 90's etc. promoting the sport. I considered his meets "for fun" as the judging was pretty loose. He was a little harder on the veterans judging wise but was pretty easy going on the amateurs/young lifters. Overall he was a great ambassador to the sport. RIP Darrell
