I'm assuming I'm not the only one, I don't believe in ghosts or religions or anything like that but I do have some superstitions that I've developed.
When I play lacrosse I have a pair of socks I wear the first game I bought them for got 7 goals and I always hit the boards walking out left then right as I come out of the gate and when I take the first faceoff (I always take the face offs) of the game I wish the other team luck and thank the ref for showing up.
When I'm skiing or snowboarding I always start a new run off switch position so either riding backwards on my skis or left foot forward on board then once a I've gotten a turn into the run I do a 180 so I'm proper way forward it just makes me confident for the entire run and I feel sketch if I don't do it.
Whenever I buy a new helmet I drop it from a one foot height, not high enough to damage the protection inside but enough to give it a little scuff mark. Every helmet needs a scuff otherwise the laws of gravity will make it scuff while you're wearing that. I broke my back because it was the first day I had that helmet and I never did a helmet drop.
Never call last run skiing or mountain biking because the mountain will ensure it will be your last run then.
Envisioning myself actually lifting a deadlift before I go up to get one. I close my eyes behind the plate form and take the full 5 seconds it takes for my deadlift and I play it in my mind and where I'd have issues in the pull.
So what's some of your guys superstitions
