Syringe filter durability?

I have read through the Xkawn sticky and the Basskiller site and one thing I haven't seen any mention of during the brweing process is how many ml can i push through a syringe filter before i need to change it out?

I am only brewing small batches, like 50-100ml at a time, if that helps to narrows the answer at all? Thanks again for the help

Pretty much 50-100ml they can filter at a time.

Nice. Assuming I am moving from 1 10ml sterile vial to the next there wouldn't be any need for me to change it out even if I haven't reached its saturation level, correct? I hope that made sense...

They clog up and burst pretty quickly, not really a fan, unless doing very small amounts.
If i were you, I would buy bottle top filters instead.

Hmmm...ill have to look into those. As simple as it seems to start brewing, there is always something else that needs to be learned. Thanks for the tip.

Should have kept it to one thread but if you use a whatman filter you wont have an issue doing 100ml at a time. Patience is important here.

As someone who is looking to brew some Amino acids so just water + BA + Cartinine or Glutathione would the 0.22 Whatmans get more life filtering water > oils for AAS?

I honestly think because its water you can get far more mileage then filtering oil and its forsure easier to pass through. I mean if you got the .22um use it if not id still go with the .45um.

Haven't picked it up yet always thought you were supposed to go for the smaller .22.

I'm pretty sure I can get by with 1 or 2 filters max probably be something like

100ml of Inj carnitine
100ml of Inj Glutathione

so just passing BA + Water + Amino acid through

Unfortunately, there are a ton of different applications for certain sizes it actually boils down to what your filtering and I don't mean either oil or water. I'm actually trying to read up on this now and see if i can find a definitive answer. But your right the smaller one would seem like the more likely choice just cant recall why i stuck with .45um years ago.
