Taking the plunge

Hi Guys,

Been lurking for the last 2 weeks, reading and learning. There were lots of abbreviations to learn, AAS to research.... pct? Wow, that was all new to me. I realized I was over my head, so I bought the book Anabolics and devoured it's contents over the last week. It was very enlightening.

So now I feel more confident about what I am about to do.

I have been working out on and off for 10 years. I had a really good solid run for 4 years straight then went overseas and fucked that up (beer, food, and whores). The last 2 years I have been trying to get back what I lost. But being natty ain't cutting it.

I'm still learning and hope the members of this community can help me on my way.

Welcome to Meso. Keep reading and reading and learning and reading and learning till your sick of reading and learning and you still might not be ready. Whats your diet like, how often do you train per week

Thanks for the welcome!

Currently at 4x per week, but used to do 5x all the time.

My stats:
33 years old
155lbs
14-16% bf

Diet:
All whole food except whey post workout and casein before bed.

About 2k calories (I know I need more for my bulk)
170g protein
180g carbs (lots of rice and quinoa)
65g fat

Although my lbm is low, I feel my strength is greater than others with the same or even more mass.

Next week I plan to start a 3 week cycle of RFL (Lyle McDonnell) to try to hit 12 - 13%. Then I plan to bulk, looking to do a test e only cycle as recommened in Anabolics. This should give me time to get the gear and learn more.

If I try Winny on my cut, would that affect going into the bulk? Could I do the 3-4 weeks on winny then switch to test for 8 weeks? Should there be a break in there? Should I just forget the winny and wait for the bulk phase?

Any orals are ran with test. Your first cycle should be test only. There's a ton of first cycle examples including pct and ai usage.

Welcome to Meso @Wikbus

155lbs is very light, focus on your diet and training and work your way to 180lbs before you begin your cycle.

A first cycle looks like this:

14 weeks Test E or Cyp 500mg a week
HCG 500iu twice a week
AI when needed
PCT Nolva and Clomid 2 weeks after last shot

Use a 25g 1inch 3cc pin.

Keep doing lots of research and get your calories and carbs up, good luck!

180 was the heaviest I've ever been, and I was quite fat. Remember, I am only 5'8". The most LBM I can naturally attain is about 150 lbs. There are 3 methods of calculating this, 2 say 150, the 3rd says 153. At 165lbs @ 10% bf would be my max naturally. This fact is what lead me here.

How Much Muscle Can You Gain Naturally? - BuiltLean

While researching how fast muscle could be built, I learned that after a few years of training, you could only naturally build 3lbs per year. I think if I were to continue training this way, I MIGHT be able to gain 6lbs back over the next year. I'm 33, and growing impatient. I hope you understand I am not dismissing your advice willy nilly without thorough research.

Of course, I would still appreciate yours and others thoughts on this.

Also, I plan to do a TEST E only run, but was thinking more along the lines of 400mg/week, which is still higher than what the book recommends (200-300/wk). Thoughts?

At 5'8 I think those numbers are low but it really depends what you want to keep your bodyfat % at. I think you can easily get to 180 with 12-13% if you upped those calories and carbs. Hit 3500 calories a day and you could do it, but it really depends on your goals and what you want to look like.

For a first cycle use 500mg.
