Former track cyclist Tammy Thomas was sentenced today to six months of home confinement for lying to a grand jury investigating the sprawling BALCO doping conspiracy in 2003.
In March, Thomas became the first BALCO figure to protest her innocence before a jury. After a bruising two-week trial, she was convicted of three counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice.
