Hey guys I got a quick question for you guys...I just got a new tattoo on Monday nite (4/19) and I need to go tanning on Saturday...is it safe?..can I just put a bandage around it or maybe a bandage and some sunblock...either way i definetly wont let it be directly in the lite..but is it still safe for that tattoo??

from my personal tatto experience i've gone tanning after about a week of having work done, but i covered it very well and went for a little less then my normal time. if u cover it with something u shouldnt have much to worry about in my opnion.

Definitely cover it up well and use sun block, I made the mistake of not protecting one of mine from the sun and now its faded and looks pretty bad.

I would like to add a commentary on the tattoo. They are fine for guys but this opinion is directed to the ladies so please make a mental note.
Just like there is no place for women in male locker rooms, there is NO REASON A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE A TATTOO. I think women get them because they look good on dudes and they think it will be cute on them. WRONG! It's trashy on a woman. Following their line of thinking a bra and panties would look good on a man. Ahhh not true budddie.
I personally would never date anyone seriously with one. I may allow her to have sex with me but I am all about doing favors for our inferior gender.

Ive had my tattoo for 4 years and still cover it up every single time I go tanning. My has bright greens, yellows, oranges, and I forget what else (its on my back and I can barely see it), so the last thing I want to do is make the color fade any faster than it will on its own.Parabola said:
I normally use some little tub of facial sunscreen that is about spf 45. Works well and keeps my tat looking fresh.
