Why not just see your doctor. It is a very easy prescription to get if you have high BP.

That sucks! I'm not a medical doctor, but I do know a beta blocker is not supposed to used as first line therapy in high bp. Especially metoprolol. I would go to somewhere like plushcare and just pay the $60 or whatever it is and get a prescription online. It is very easy for simple medications like this.
Otherwise, look at PCT/247. Great indian pharmacy at great prices.

Thats actually harder to get prescribed than Telmi...Just tell her it makes your heart feel weird and ask for Telmi
Yeah I know I was reading about it, when she gave it to me she said, all by the way, This stuff is great for anxiety too everybody tends to say that it makes them sleepy,who doesn't need a little anxiety relief, and laughed. I don't need it for my f****** anxiety, lol

Any way to get them to prescribe only (no medication, just need script?)

Your doctor works for you - tell them what treatment you would prefer based on your own study and understanding. Mine was OK with the switch from lisinopril to telmisartan provided my insurance covered it. She seemed surprised it was covered by my health insurance but was happy to move me to it along with my plan to potentially increase dosage and add other medicines such as nebivolol.
That said, at least my pharmacy in the USA puts the telmisartan in standard bottles without any real protection from moisture - and telmisartan is highly susceptible to degradation due to moisture. If you get yours this way, be sure to add a dessicant like a silica gel packet to the bottle to help control moisture. If you order your telmisartan online, it will probably come in blister packs which already protect each dose. Although I do have an Rx for telmisartan filled locally in the 30-unit bottles, I have a year or two worth of Healing Pharma telmisartan in their blister packaging.
To give you an idea of cost, a month of telmisartan 80mg costs me US$3. That's lower than my typical copays while meeting my deductible.

I doubt it. They make a profit off of the doctor visit and the generic meds.
Propranolol is better for anxiety and has more research data to back it up for that use case than does metroprolol.

for Telyrx did you have to provide any proof to them of your high BP? I just started working with a coach and he wants me on telmisartan and metformin but I don’t have high BP or diabetes so I don’t know how to get it. Seems like I could just get a visit with Telyrx on the books and lie and say I have high BP and a1c? Do they need to see labs? Or can I say something different? Also considered lying and answering “yes” to the question about having an existing prescription and hoping they don’t ask to verify and just fill it?

Why. would a "coach" want you on an ARB if you don't have high BP?

You don’t have to show them or tell them anything. They don’t talk to you or ask for personal information. They sell Metformin also.
But I’m curious why you’d take a BP medication if your BP is normal? Pushing it too far below normal isn’t healthy and BP meds aren’t something you take and then stop. That can cause BP spikes and fluctuations which isn’t safe. You either need BP medication or you don’t.

I can only guess two possibilities.
1. The coach is about to recommend some strong anabolics which he feels will raise the BP to the high point.
2. The coach thinks there is some magic with Telmisartan with ppar effects. Which while it does have them, they are very minor and only a tiny + if you have high BP and need to take a med anyway. If you don't have HBP, the lowering effect could do more harm than good.

I get the need to have them on hand. I have a lot of stuff on the off chance I have issues during a cycle. Metformin for GH use reinforces that possibility.
But I’d say no to #2. More risks than benefits.

@BamaCrazy @BP_6 Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. I asked my coach the same thing. My BP is already normal to low, why am I supposed to take this?
This is his response “it is a blood pressure med, but that is not why we use it, it doesn’t do a great job lowering and managing blood pressure to that degree.we use it because it doesn’t a wonderful job preventing cardiac remodeling. We get other health benefits from it like preventing left ventricle hypertrophy and kidney and brain health, not really for BP.”
I am reluctant to take it. Idk. What do you all think of that response?

I'd have to search for the link but Type-IIx has been over this. It will not prevent lvh
