TEST E/ANAVAR FIRST CYCLE

I have used AAS in the past, but over 10 years ago with poor diet, poor maintenance, and being too young and stupid.

I'm 30 5'8" 155# well versed in lifting. I have been consistently lifting for 3-4yrs and prefer Olympic/powerlifting training with weekly occasional focus on isolation. Train legs twice/week, deads every week, and one rest day or active rest day.

I am a bit delayed on posting this as I'm already about to begin week 3 of the cycle below:

GP Test-E 350mg/week, 175mg M/Th

GP Nolva 40/40/20/20

*Aromasin on hand in the event that E2 levels are too high.

I am getting bloods at week 5 or 6.

Diet is around 2900-3300cal/ 200P, 300+C, 85-90F depending on severity of workout. I have a sports nutrition background, so fuel shouldn't be an issue. Liver maintenance pills and raw papaya seeds (research before you blast me lol), heavy glucosamine,chondroitin tabs, a lot of fish oils also.

Goals are to put on around 15 lbs of weight and really see how my body reacts to AAS when done correctly. Strength is my biggest concern. Summary of prior weeks in next post.
 
WEEK 1
Placebo effect came in as I PR'd my back squat two days after first pin. Slight euphoric feeling came through me a few days after my second shot. I quit the old habits years ago but my whole body felt good like I was having an ecstasy flashback, not a placebo thing, this was real. Shooting in the glutes and the first shot left a HEAVY sore muscle feeling. The second pin was smooth as butter; I changed my method to warming the syringe and overdrawing the gear to allow for a little to press out and lube the needle. Made a HELL of a difference. Gained 4 lbs after 6th day, not too much fat/water weight but I was sick 2 weeks before my cycle began, so I was below average weight anyways. Up to 159#

WEEK 2
Intensity is amped up a bit in the gym and focus is noticeably better. Again, it could be placebo effect but all signs are good as EVERY weight movement seems to feel better and my mechanics are the same/better than the week before. Sleep is decently better, nothing big. The PIP is very minimal and at times I forget I pinned that day. Legs are recovering faster than I expected. Up to 163#, third week first pin is tomorrow. REALLY excited to see this in full swing in the coming weeks. If you have any questions/advice/suggestions, please shoot them my way.
 
Third week and had leg day today. Mixed in bicep contractions, heavy farmers carry, and yolk walks along with the usual front and back squat combo. Multiple sets that eventually worked up to 80% for two sets at 6-8 reps a piece with little form issues.

Another great pin yesterday with very minimal blood loss. The pins keep getting easier.

I'm at the point where I'm waiting for it to really start kicking in. Most of the current gains are nutrition based but the AAS show their face when I'm actually IN the gym. Focus is getting better and, even if it's bunk, the placebo effect has me tuned in more than usual.

No E2 issues yet, but I'm told that shouldn't be an issue at my dose. I have Aromasin if need be. I have contemplated upping the E to 400mg/week, which won't dramatically change my dose, but I am obtaining bloods next week, so I'll go from there.

LOOKING FOR ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO HELP ALONG THE WAY. Comments appreciated.
 
Why do you choose 350mg a week? Most first cycles(I know this isn't your first, but back into it after 10yrs) are dosed 500-600mg a week. I do believe as stated by one of our doctors before that "optimal" dosage was something around 562mg wk. At 350 you are shutting down natty production without offering substantial benefits, though you will see some at 350. I personally think u should up to 500 and just watch e2 to keep bloat and sides away. I have only seen test run at a lower dose when being stacked with other compounds such as eq or deca.
 
I think fear of sides and meticulously learning how my body reacts on this first go around are my issues. I have thought about upping it. My last cycle was garbage; didn't do my research on dosage, no PCT, I was 19, and my diet was shit, so nothing was gained from it.

Given my size, I wanted to make sure I didn't overwhelm my body on the first go around. I frontloaded at 500mg the first week without any issues at all, which made me wonder if I was under shooting it a bit.

May take your advice at next week's pin.
 
I can't speak from experience of 350mg vs 500mg as I haven't tried 350mg a wk, but I think the difference in sides would be minuscule while the difference in recovery and gains would be substantial. Just my thoughts. You could always go up to 500, and if those sides are worse, then u can drop back down to 350, and if they aren't worse then u have better gains, but you would hate to run at 350 and wish you did 500!!
Edit: just to add, we are in similar experiences. I started my first cycle about 3 weeks ago as well. I am doing 500mg a week, but I used 100mg prop EOD as well as tbol 50mg ed as kickstarters.
 
I was REAL close to adding Dbol 40mg for first four weeks but figured I'd take it slow.

Don't think I'm ready for eod/daily pinning although the last few have been near painless.

Do you have a log I can view?

Sidenote: what are your thoughts on my two weeks of GP var as a bridge from last E shot until PCT?
 
I don't have a log right now, but I think I may make one even tho I'm already 3 weeks in like yours. Yeah the EOD pinning wasn't fun with the prop, but it was bearable and I knew it wouldn't be for the whole cycle. I think your var bridge is good, I would say extend it if you have more var available, like say start on week 10 and run it last 2 weeks your on test and the following 2 weeks while the ester clears, I have a similar set up for my cycle. Mine is as follows
Test C 500mg/wk 1-12
Test Prop 100mg EOD 1-3
Tbol 50mg ED 1-5
Anavar 50mg ED 9-14
PCT 14-18 nolva clomid
Adex as AI
Thinking about adding test p 100mg eod from week 12 up until pct as well, haven't decided
 
Received my final pack of GP Var and my final PCT stuff. I've already noticed some subtle body changes and focus/strength increases so I decided to up my ongoing protocol to 500mg/week. Just purchased two more vials of E to make this a 14 week cycle with 4 week Var bridge after my discussion with @tattedlegend

I took off from the gym yesterday so I'm already geared up for deads, back accessory work, and bench/overhead work.

Will be obtaining bloods next week (start of week 4) and again a month later. In the interim, I will be taking Aromasin 6.5mg EOD. Seeing VERY slight nipple puffiness and my mood is a tad more irritable than usual. Don't want to overdo it but I want to give enough time to see how my E2 levels check out next week.
 
Good stuff, if you don't get the nipple puffiness to go away, or it gets worse, itchy etc I would up ur aromasin to 6.25 ED. Will be following your log. I actually started a log of my own as well, we have very similar cycles, and somewhat similar starting stats, check it out.
 
Great day in the gym yesterday and today, although today was active rest, mobility, and some cardio.

I have upped the aromasin to 12.5 EOD, as I've noticed I have lower libido and the infamous "moon face". My face, chest, and parts of my shoulders have a red glow to them and I'm pretty hot at night when I get in bed. My face remains pretty oily. Intensity isn't really up where it was in the beginning. Working on 80% squats at 8 reps and I wasn't really pushing myself like usual. I finished them which showed the AAS' presence but (I may be looking too far into this) I don't have the monster feel like I did in the beginning.

Next week will start the 4th week so this is apparently like the bedroom: where the magic starts happening. I'm up to 165 according to the scale, but I'm sure a good deal of that is water weight.

Diet is heavy in carbs around workout and pretty low on my 1-2 rest days. That may also add to my water retention.

I am getting blood work on Monday to check E2 mainly.

What time of day should I get my bloods? I pin on Mondays, usually in the morning, and I want my blood wrk to reflect the correct current state of my body. Any suggestions?
 
Week four has started and I'm seeing more weight gain and somewhat minimal sides. I had blood results back, and unfortunately, the place I used gave me the male instead of the female panel(paid for female panel). I'm not too upset as my levels were over 1500 (up from 429 pre cycle). I will run them again in four weeks to check free test and E2. This is also considering I had just changed dose to 500mg/week, and will continue to do so for 12-14 weeks. My last pin was ~80hrs before blood work and was my first 250mg dose (up from 175). I noticed hemocrit was high. Doing research on that.

Weight is up 10# total and I'm halfway through the 4th week. My physical gains are different than most on this board as I power/OLY lift mostly. Control and explosiveness on movements is through the roof and dudes around me are starting to notice.

Back, bicep, traps are coming in fuller and my triceps (an area I previously had issues with) seem to be contracting better on close grip bench.

For shits, I PR'd bench yesterday. It's a good feeling as I didn't push it all too much recently. Cardio is taking a decent drop; I'm pretty winded at shit that's not usually too bad. Oh well, all in pursuit of gains, I guess!

Keeping Aromasin at 12.5mg EOD. Bloods showed E2 at 21, but I had taken pills daily the two previous days, so my next bloods will be better times around my pills/pin. Oily face, acne only minimal on face and I'm usually oily anyways. Occasional joint stiffness which is expected for Oly movements, but it goes away and doesn't affect me that much.

Can't wait for this to continue to push me. Good shit man, nothing but positives so far. Any comments or advice always appreciated.
