Testosterone only for 59 year old woman

Why not?

Placing my ignorance on full display here, but aromatization is just a function of aromatase metabolizing testosterone. Do women not have aromatase? Aromatase inhibitors were invented for women, not men.

Again, ignorance here, but this just does not make sense to me.
As far as I understand it, we typically don’t aromatize enough estrogen out of the exogenous testosterone for it to be beneficial to us as women. If we did, that would be awesome. I don’t pretend to understand the mechanism of it myself, and I’m willing to bet that somebody more informed than me can chime on in this.

I have no problem with fuelling my appetite, I actually have to make myself eat. I drink about a gain of water a day, I eat mostly veggies and fruits, I have a potato, noodles, or rice once a week. I only eat baked chicken or grilled fish. I literally have changed nothing in my life for the past 2 years but gained 25 pounds, this is the reason I stayed trading Tirz but I cannot seem to get the weight off, so I started taking to my doctor about my hormones, he says they're fine for a 56 year old female (typical) i kept insisting so he tested them and put me on the oral and creme Premerin. I've been on it for a year and nothing has changed except my Free T3 went down more.

I said quelling the appetite, not fueling. It’s why I asked what dose and what you’ve tried. Figured that info would help with making any adjustments.

Your dr sounds stupid like most. The level of bs women have to deal with for substandard care sucks. I hope you’re able to get the help and answers you need.

This is what my understanding is. We aromatize some, but it’s negligible. That’s about as far as my knowledge goes. I’ve seen some women whose prescribers go with T first saying it converts. I suspect those women aren’t far enough into peri for their e2 to have bottomed out yet.

It could be just not enough testosterone to matter.

When I use 75mg a week of TRT, my estrogen drops into the single digits.

Since women here are posting about 10-20mg, that means no real estrogen.

But I guess that wasn't my point so much as, it still converts . . .
