It's just media.
You can always find a news outlet saying one thing, and another outlet saying the opposite. The same as you can always find studies to support or refute anything.

Creatine is unhealthy. No, it's healthy. Saturated fats are bad for you. No, they aren't. Eat eggs. Don't eat eggs. Gluten is bad. Gluten allergies are a tiny percent of the population. Absolutely everything will give you cancer... Or will it?

There's always going to be two sides to each story. I think all you can really do is look at things objectively and make your own decisions. How many locales and races have used coconuts as a main dietary staple for centuries? What's the health history and lifespan? Are there a lot of diseases and health issues traceable directly to consuming coconuts?

Most of the time, these things are just overhyped for the media to use as headlines. Imo.

Coconut oil isn't the second coming but used in moderation, much like everything else in life, is fine.

You know at the end of online news articles how it oftentimes talks about the author's qualifications, education, and experience pertinent to the topic of the article? Well look at the bottom of that article posted for a good laugh:

"Ashley May is currently engaged in a debate on coconut oil with her mom."

^^^with that kind of experience and education, who even needs studies lol

Love Dobermans my dream dog! I feed my girlfriends dogs those dehydrated chicken breast dipped in it, but if there is too big of a chunk of coconut oil they give me the funniest weriod lookin face lol they don't like the texture. Like when you give a baby a lemon

BOTTOM line is, EVERYBODY needs to make their OWN decision on what they put in their bodies. There is NOTHING in this world that you can put in your body that one person says it's ok and another says it's bad for you. PERIOD.
