The Firearm thread...questions, advice, range reports welcome

Good video, I wanted to test this weapon.
That video made me buy the damn thing, hahaha. I feel like it’s a good gun myself, but I ran some cheap Winchester 36 grain and I had a ton of failure to feeds, with CCI it cycled through it flawlessly. Don’t believe the hype abt “it eats anything you put in it” but with decent ammunition it’s a great gun

Got my order from Canoe Club recently, TA was pretty quick and around 7 days. Will be using these hopefully this weekend.

I got to be careful or I'll stockpile way too much. Already around 1,600 bullets in storage, don't know if that's a lot or not compared to how some buy ammo. Lol.

Some ppl have a lot more. The important thing is that you still get range time, don’t be that paranoid doomsday prep guy that hasn’t shot a gun in 2 years

So I walk after the video with the feeling to buy or not to buy, to buy or not to buy, to buy .. :)

Went to the gun store today to check out some micro 9’s, that Sig p365 feels damn good in the hands and I like the simplicity of the gun design, nothing to snag and simple! There was another handgun I really liked but it’s expensive and that’s the Shadow Systems CR920, It’s an $800 handgun though but I’ve heard that Shadow Systems are absolutely SICK!!

Not this one without irons?

I would probably go with the sights myself, if I was pocket carrying then I’d consider that but I holster carry and see no sense in not at least getting some sort of sights with the gun

I’m curious about those new mini 12 gauge shells for higher capacity and safety of the slugs for home defense. I think one advantage of them is they spread more at close range than a regular size slug

The spread is what I’m after. Assuming average non-armored intruder

Although I like the idea of making a window out of the guy to see my neighbors kitchen

Got an iwb from safari land for the s&w 40 and got the little 9mm mostly for my girl to carry around. Both shoot amazing. I’ve also built my ar15 through bear creek arsenal. Can build some really nice stuff for cheap there. I’ve put easily 1k rounds through it never even cleaned (I will eventually lol) and still shoots great.

That’s where I got my 10.5” complete upper from as well and I couldn’t be more pleased with it! I’m a big fan of the side charge handle over the rear charge. I picked that complete upper up on a Fourth of July sale for $189!!!

With the recent thread by @NorthMich about buying a pistol, I thought it would be good to start a thread. One where any and all firearm related posts could go. A place to ask questions, get advice, post reports, etc. Post deals on ammo and guns.

I've very new to firearms, just started 3 months ago in my early 40s. Been to the range 3 times, I didn't do very well today. I've been doing a ton of research, slowly learning. I usually pick up on things very quickly, but I think the frequency is limiting my ability to learn.

Anyways, I know this thread might not take off and get activity. Wanted to try and see if we have some members Into firearms.
Damn cool thread, I'll be happy to read, because I don't understand this, but I'm ready to read new information

Guns have become a big love of mine within the past couple of years. When I put my gun on my waist to leave the house it’s like someone putting on their Rolex watch and being proud of it. My guns are like me wearing my watch!

Or a shoe collector, you know how a shoe collector has different shoes for different days? Well, gun nuts often have different guns for different days. You have your “just walking to the mailbox gun”, your truck gun, your “massive liberal mowdown guns”, your cheap handgun you don’t mind getting scratched up or dropped or broken from smashing someone’s head in with it (high point pistols). Guns are just fantastic!

I have a suggestion, go pay a professional trainer for a basic pistol class.

You will learn so much that it is difficult for me to describe in a post. It is worth a couple hundred bucks, please just trust me on that. You will wonder why you did not do it sooner.
