The pill generally is about only 97% effective anyways. Of 100 women who use the Pill, only eight will become pregnant during the first year of typical use (say.. missing a pill or two in the cycle and trying to catch up) and fewer than one out of 100 women will become pregnant with perfect use (not missing a pill).

I do know that the effectiveness of the pill is reduced when taken with certain medications, including antibiotics, anti-seizure, tuberculosis, and migraine medications.
