Things you didn't know about Canada!

What part of Vancouver are you in @CdnGuy? I grew up in Arlington, WA so we used to go to the zoo there when I was a kid and they still had the Orca(s) and in college used to go up there to party since the legal drinking age was only 19. I still remember the asshole French/Canadian border guard that was a real dick, it was funny to hear him finish his questions with "eh/A" in a French accent.

agreed I've been Toronto and yes they have some fine ass women haha

Of course they do! Where do you think your fave girl hangs out
(besides Europe and Florida....speaking of which... I need to escape the frigid cold ASAP) ;)

So im in the military and im from Michigan. People always ask me if im from Canada, apprentely o have a mild canadian accent. Didnt notice until I was around other people that pointed it. I pronounce my As weird and in some words like house, about etc, its very canadian like. Im still in shock that ive had this accent the whole time and never noticed.

You guys say "pop" instead of "soda," right? I picked up the word pop when I lived in WA and when I moved back to CA people looked at me like they had no idea what I was talking about. But I had a coworker from MI and he called it "pop" instead of "soda" and I find myself correcting people now when they call soda, pop.

An English friend showed me this, which I found kind of interesting, dunno why.

Fact 1: in my stupider younger days, I was part of the JNCO clothing brand's street and promo team and plastered JNCO stickers on some of the highway signs along the freeway on the drive to Vancouver and on street signs around the city.

Fact 2: Vancouver is full of little pizza places and XXX stores, which stay open seemingly all night. At least it still was last time I was there in '03-04.
