Thinking of using deca for the first time. Looking for some insight.

Yesterday and today were off days. I do have to say though that this cycle is a bit disappointing. Mood is ok(probably the only positive), ED is present, I am not putting on even close to the amount of size that I normally would with this much gear. I do not feel as if I am getting stronger compared to when I would normally run a blast, and gyno symptoms are irritating the shit out of me off and on.

As stated previously I am going to alter a couple of things. I will be adding t-bol at 50mgs a day for 6-8 weeks. I will also be increasing calories again. 5 grams more of protein will be added to each meal except the intra workout shake. I will be adding 10 more grams of carbs to meals #1,2, 3, 6, and 7. I will add additional 25 grams of carbs to meals #4 and 5. It comes out to an additional 30 grams of protein for the upcoming week with an extra 100 grams of carbs. Fats will remain the same at about 100grams.

I am running hilma products with the exception of test, which is doctor prescribed from a pharmacy. With that being said I would probably never purchase hilma products ever again. Really disappointed so far like I have stated earlier. Take it whatever way you like, but I am not exactly new to the game here.

I will be starting the 5’s phase tomorrow and on Sunday the wifey will be starting her 9 week run of var(she has been taking her support supps for about a week already-NAC and milk thistle). That will be her third run and first using entirely hilma products so I guess we will see how that goes. All of the meal prepping for the week is done. Will be switching out the flank steak for sirloin and the potatoes for a wild rice blend. The chicken thighs and white rice are generally always a staple and will remain. White rice is easy to scarf down and the chicken thigh flavor can change and makes it more edible depending on which marinades are used.
 
You are at 1020 mg a week, but a big chunk of that is masteron, so this is not like a gram of test a week or 720 test/ 300 Deca. It is not even remotely similar. Masteron is just not known as a hormone that adds a lot of mass. Think about it - you would not compare running similar amounts of your wife's anavar and anadrol, would you? So why are you comparing masteron with Deca and test like they are similar (and that is what you are doing when you say you are over a gram total, because that gram includes masteron)?

Bump up the test. If it doesn't fix your problem, you can always reduce it again. If you have shorter ester test you can know even sooner.

PS - this would probably fix not just erectile dysfunction (and make the wife happy) but your lack of gains on what is a rather mild cycle in spite of the high overall mg.

I guess I have a different mindset than you. I’m not knocking you at all. It is just a difference of opinion. To me a gram of gear is a gram of gear. Doesn’t matter what the compound is. I generally would like to stay under that. I am not competing and I don’t plan on it. I look at this game as a marathon and not a sprint. I do very much appreciate your contribution to the thread. I will take your advice into consideration.

I did, however, start dosing tbol at 50mgs per day. Actually started it last night. I have taken tbol in the past but not with deca/test and mast. I would like to see what that alone does right now for the time being. I am sure you would think that would be a good idea. I guess you never know though.

My elbows were flailing up today could have gotten another 15 reps on dips with the additional 55lbs but called it at 12. I didn’t want to chance it. Other than that it was a good workout today. I do feel a bit bloated and the tbol dose started last night. Mentally feeling good. It is just a good sense of well-being. I did have a massive headache today which I don’t normally get. Will keep an eye on things but I am not too worried about it. Nipple sensitivity is way down so I will be lowering the dose of nolva to every other day and see if I can taper it out slowly. Still taking .5mgs of adex EOD.

So I decided to raise the test dosage but not a ridiculous amount. My pinning schedule is still M/W/F and I only increased the dosage from 300 to 450 a week. So current dosing is:

Mast @ 420
It is not too far over a gram for a total of 1170mgs and only .2ml extra per pin so I am somewhat comfortable with it. I am hoping it alleviates some of the ED issues. Mood is still good and no headache today so I can’t really pinpoint what the cause of it was yesterday. Knee sleeves felt a bit tighter on my last set of front squats so that is a plus. Also the hammer awoke for a little when me and the wifey started talking about a home video, so there is a bit of hope. Lol

No real complaints today and nothing really stands out. I did feel a bit weaker on my barbell curls and my reps didn’t go up from last week but overall felt ok. Calories are still the same will give it a week and see where my weight is.(Still at 193 and change) Everything is on point diet and water wise. Sleep has always been an issue for me because of the shift I work but I cope with it well and try and get it in whenever I can even though it is not consistent. I am kind of rambling on here though.

The t-bol should start “kicking in” in another two weeks so we will see how that goes. I do have taurine on standby because I usually get some wicked back and shin pumps on it. Taurine definitely helps me in that regard.

Felt ok today. Either the weight in lbs went up or I increased my reps from last week so all is good. There is a feeling of some light strength increases but nothing like my previous tren run. Hoping things start to pick up relatively soon and quickly. Only have about 8 weeks left and am trying to make the most of this here. Took a couple of back pics after my workout today and it is looking somewhat thicker than before along with my traps. My traps have always been a decent size though for my frame.

Diet is the same except for some extra carbs preworkout today because all of the bananas that I recently purchased were ripe yet. No big deviation though. And the wifey officially started her var run today split at 5 and 5 for morning and night. She is currently on a deload week though. Her and I are definitely both excited for it. By the time she comes off of her deload week this week she should slowly start feeling her var By week 3 is when it really kicks in for her.

Today felt brutal but I did feel a bit stronger. Weight is starting to creep upwards again so that is a plus. Nothing new otherwise. It is getting cold as fuck too so I am trying to add more time to my warm up routine and I definitely need to do more mobility work. My mobility work is almost nonexistent. I do some foam rolling and static movements here and there but that is about it. The older I get, the stiffer I feel. Definitely need to work on it and make time for it.

Well, I don’t feel too bad about the 405 Fail because it failed a little short of lockout and I have never attempted that in a slanger before so not too bad. I am still trying to get 225lbs x 25 which I am sure will come one day, today wasn’t it though. Elbows aren’t too bad today and now I am just looking to rest and recover the next two days. I have another weigh-in tomorrow so if the weight is not continuing to trend upward then I will be increasing calories again. Body composition is looking better so definitely happy about that.
 
Weigh in yesterday was 194.4 so it is pretty much the same as a couple of days ago and my calories are lower on non training days. Going to keep monitoring it and will adjust calorie intake higher if need be. I rested the past two days but felt my sleep quality was terrible. Most likely due to stress.
The only thing noticeable lately is that my right nipple is starting to flare up again. It is not as sensitive as it was before but it is starting to get sensitive again so definitely have to watch for any other changes in that area. Everything is relatively the same and I am hoping that the ED gets better with the addition of tbol and the higher test dosage.
Meal prep was finished a little while ago. Macros will be the same as last week for now unless I up the calories again then I will advise everyone how I will go about it. The food bill is definitely starting to creep up after adding the additional calories. I also swapped out the sirloin steak for ground turkey seasoned with ready made taco packet seasonings. I usually will add two fried eggs on top of the turkey meal which is on top of white rice. It is the perfect combination of protein, carbs, and fat. When I need more carbs depending on what time the meal is I will add fruit(usually 25 grams of carbs from grapes, apples, or pineapple).
I have not felt any back pumps from the tbol yet but my top sets on my main lifts will be 4 sets of 5 with an AMRAP set so that might change and the taurine is on standby. Top sets should be 270, 415, 165, and 375. I hoping for at least ten on all of my AMRAP sets.

I was trying this entire time to not use any wraps unless my working set was 80% or higher but that didn’t pan out too well today. I was feeling pretty beat up and I did use them on my last bench set which was an AMRAP set but it was only 77.5%. My training max for bench right now is 350lbs so next week during my realization phase my top set will be 300lbs which is 85%. I am hoping to get a rep max at that weight next week.
I was looking pretty pumped and full after today’s workout so I took a couple of photos. Weight this morning was 194.2lbs but I do feel much fuller than before.
On another note, I did my injection today in my right ventro glute and am feeling a bit of PIP. I am starting to wonder if I injected too fast or if it was simply a bad inject and was wiggling around the pin too much. Hopefully it is nothing and will feel better by tomorrow or the next day.
 
Never realized this was a log from the name of it. I've had good results from programming AMRAPs even though 5/3/1 didn't really work that well for me. Kind of the opposite of powerlifting, but I like chasing high rep PR sets.

Yeah I didn’t want to clog up the forums with a bunch of relatively the same threads so I figured I would just use this thread as a log. It originally was in the steroid forum and requested it to be moved here.

I decided to give my joints a break from the heavy 90 and 95% work on the 5/3/1 routine and decided to run the juggernaut method when I decided on the cycle to take more advantage of the hypertrophy phase in the beginning while simultaneously allowing my joints to recover a bit. I was hoping to have some weight PR’s with this run but the way it has been working out it seems like it is just going to be rep PR’s.

I was wanting to not use a belt at all for this week’s phase but I just wasn’t feeling it and didn’t feel confident enough without it. I am hoping for 455lbs for 10 for next weeks phase for deads but I don’t know if it is realistic to think that considering I only got ten today even though I wasn’t really feeling it. I believe the highest I ever got for 455lbs was 7, so definitely going to be chasing that number.
During today’s session and a little bit afterwards my sciatic was flaring up. Not too bad but obviously enough to notice it.

Everything felt pretty decent today except the barbell curl. For whatever reason I felt weak during that exercise today. I’m pretty sure I felt that way last week as well. Don’t really know what is up with that.

I did change it up a bit and I decided to add mk677 back into the mix. Last night I took 30mgs prior to bed, so that will be the dosage for the remainder of the entire cycle. Weight has been trending upward as well so that is a plus. I did notice my fingers had swelled a bit upon waking this morning and am assuming that is the mk677. My back still feels a bit tight from yesterday but nothing too bad.

I am getting a fuck load of snow for the next couple of days so that will most likely affect my workout schedule because I will be shoveling like a motherfucker. I may not workout tomorrow and might have to shorten my day #4 and #6 workout and combine them. So after day #5, which is squat day, I might just do a chest/back push/pull superset workout. Nothing is set in stone but that is my backup plan if I don’t get it in tomorrow because of Mother Nature.

As far as side affect wise there really are no changes. Sex drive is not exactly non existent but I definitely notice it is not what it used to be. Well, actually to rephrase it, my drive is there but the quality of my little guy is not the same. It definitely sucks and am hoping it resolves sooner rather than later(obviously).
What else, what else..... Ah.... the PIP I was feeling in my previous VG shot is completely gone. It was most likely due to wiggling the pin around too much. Also, the wifey is starting to get that familiar feeling of just a sense of overall good well-being but is also a bit short tempered(first full week of her var cycle). She is keeping it in check so far for the most part. She is dieting down pretty hard too so she has that double whammy to deal with lol.

I guess that is it for now.

Was supposed to do leg presses, calf raises, and planks. I feel like I could possibly add so much more mass to my legs too. Wanted 10 on my stiff legs but my back was fried from shoveling snow the past two days. I also fell on my right knee pretty bad today and fucked it all up. It is not swollen or discolored or anything but it fucking hurts. Hopefully it is nothing and goes away on its own.

Meal wise was a bit different today and yesterday. I packed training day meals when I meal prepped and not non-training day meals and I didn’t want to waste the food. So no preworkout shake but the meals that I did have later on during the evening had 75 grams of carbs in both meals. On non training days they are usually around 50-60 grams. Today, after shoveling snow and prior to my workout, I had an additional meal replacement shake along with all of my other training day meals.(Actually as I type this I have 3 meals left to consume prior to bedtime today) It was fast, convenient, and normally doesn’t bloat me for an upcoming workout. I also figured the extra calories were needed. I felt really run down today.

I have to combine yesterday’s and tomorrow’s workout for tomorrow but am thinking of a bodybuilding style workout of chest and back. Just trying to chase that pump. Those types of workouts are always fun and sometimes put me in a better mood. It is not as mentally relieving as pulling some heavy ass weight, but it still feels good. I’ll probably get all swollen from the push pull day and bang the old lady, lol.

I am getting older and I know that my body probably won’t allow me to do heavy runs in the future. I want as much longevity as possible here and am trying to find some sort of balance where I can still have a bit of fun while attempting to negate the harshness of this lifestyle. I don’t really know if that is good or bad, or even just a piss poor excuse to do what I do. It does make me want to take full advantage though of whatever run I do because like previously stated, time will eventually run out.

I definitely didn’t get all the sets in that I wanted to this week and hoping that next week will not be like this one. Next week is 5’s realization week so basically it is testing what I can get at 85%. I am hoping for sets of tens across the board but that might not be a realistic goal. Going to give my all anyway.
Taking the next two days off and resting. It is very much needed at this point. Feeling run down and tired. I could really go for a drink but gave up all of that for this run. I usually don’t drink on a blast anyway but could sure use one right now. Hopefully I can catch up on some sleep.
