I've been lifting for over 20+years on and off,I'm in my 40s now..This is the biggest and best shape I've ever been in.However..Over the past 3 yrs.,throughout the day and especially in bed,my arms/hands will go numb..Not like asleep or GH numb,if you've experienced that but the kind of numb that is so pins and needles throbbing painful kind of numb..It wakes me out of a dead sleep, and I'm not able to go back to sleep afterwards..I've seen a doctor,yes..theyve referred me to sports med specialist, but I can't spend $200,300 a wk. until I meet my 2500$ deductable..From what I've gathered this is a condition, very common in athletes. When the muscles in your upper back i.e.traps I believe cause this. They start pressing on the nerves in the neck, making a very painful and unplesant problem occur w the arms and hands..Not lifting isn't an option, but any articles/advice I haven't already seen would be greatly appreciated..Thanks
