Tight hips?

When doing leg raises or certain ab work I feel my hips a lot..is this a sign of tight hips? I almost can’t concentrate on the muscle being worked...if so any suggestions on loosening them up?

Give yoga a try, or even talk to someone at your gym that does yoga and see what they do.

I don't know the name of it, but the pose where you kneel down, and have your legs kind of wide and lean back. You'll see girls that can lay flat on their backs like this.

Also, kneel down with one foot up on a bench and the other foot out in front of you, so you're in like a lunge position. Hold your body upright, and push forward into the front foot, as you're able to, try reaching both arms over head and leaning back.
