Time off

How much time do you guys take away from the gym. Ive been hitting weights for almost 14 mons with out some type of break, I use a 3 on 1 off then repeat. I have 9 weeks left in my diet and I was thinking about taking a week or two away from the gym. How much time would you guys say is enough just to rest my mind and body from weight lifting??

I'd take anywhere from 1-3 weeks... It won't hurt you... Just make sure that you don't turn it into a longer break.
 
It takes about 2-3 weeks for an advanced athlete to reacquire the strength lost from a 1 week layoff. So if you're interested in strength, strongly reconsider taking time off. If you're feeling burned out, take an easy week or two or three instead.

If however, strength doesn't concern you, a week or two won't "kill you", so you'll have to look at your priorities.
