what is the minimum amount of time after application of androgel to go to the gym and work up a good sweat? and what is the minimum amount of time to then take a shower?

My Dr. always told me to wait at least 4 hours, but the official word from the manufactuerer is 5-6 hours:

Can patients shower after applying AndroGel?
To ensure that the greatest amount of AndroGel is absorbed into the body, patients should wait 5-6 hours after application prior to showering or swimming. Nevertheless, showering or swimming after just one hour should have minimal effect on the amount of AndroGel absorbed if done very infrequently.
