Tips for squatting without a rack?

Hey everyone! I wondered if I could get some ideas. I have a full set of nautilus weights, a proper bar, and an old shitty bench (weider 146). I also have a good set of resistance bands. The only dumbbells' I have is a set 15's I got at a garage sale, and I have no rack to set up squats. I would really love a way to work the quads good, strength wise. The weider 146 does have a leg extension, and I use it. But for squats I have been limited to what I am able to clean to my shoulders, which isn't much because I don't focus on those movements. I can get around 135 up to my shoulders, but I can squat that like 30 times. I have tried a few things, like split squats and such. But I am just wondering if anyone has any advice for me so I am able work those quads heavy without a squat rack. Of course the inevitable is that I will have to build a squat rack, but for the meantime, is there anything I can do?

Build a simple squat rack with wood!

with the price of lumber, or could probably buy a decent rack for the same price. But i totally get the satisfaction of creating something youself.

A metal rack being cheaper than a wood one, now that's just fucking fucked up eh!

Crazy times man, crazy!

I know, i'm hoping lumber prices come down soon. I have some projects i want to work on, but i'm having a hard time justifying the cost at the moment

Pfffft now that prices are up they will stay up even after covid is no longer a valid excuse!

Maybe this will help with a bit of inspiration, bud.
