To strap, or not to strap

Chalk seconded. I can PR with chalk. No chalk, no straps leave me week as weak as a paedophile in boys choir summer camp. I even sweat like one, can't hold on to shit. I like my straps when theres no chalk around. They're worn, stinky and with a layer of salt covering them. No one in their right mind would steal them. I have started with double overhand on the lighter lifts to get more grip.

I use versa gripps. Everything I've been doing for back lately has been like 20+ reps so my grip will fail before my back if I don't. I like the pump better without grips though because it activates a lot more of your arms. As far as a back pump itself, I enjoy using the grips to isolate my back

There is a risk in getting too good grip. The other day, flapping off to some pictures of Krystle Blake from Dynasty, I got too excited, locked my grip. And tore the entire cock off at root! These days, I need to try and tickle my balls with a feather to get off :(

I use them for high rep/rest pause shrugs and for meadows rows as I cant get my tiny girl hands around the spindle end of the oly bar.

anything else, its just chalk though.. I worry about my grip sliding further behind as the weight increases otherwise.

I've got to say, this chalk has amazing.
My grip seems a lot tighter than it ever was with straps.
With straps the weight would still slip a bit with heavier weighys, buy with chalk it's pretty solid.

I just got some golds gym chalk from Walmart. Was like $5 for 3 pouches of 50g each

How about liquid chalk, has anyone tried that and is it just as good as the powder?

I made my own liquid chalk years ago because the gym I went to despised chalk...
I probably messed it up bad, but all liquid chalk is, is rubbing alcohol and chalk.
It applied on clear, but it still left chalk residue on bars, and I had to keep applying it.

I'm sure the brand name liquid grip is a crap shoot better, since it's intended for mountain climbers.

Then again birth control is meant to control birth and well.... my wife's pregnant.

Congrats brother. Having a kid can suck with the shitty sleep and everything stress related but being a father and everything that entails is absolutely awesome.

Thanks brother! Sleep is already horrible haha, so I'm pretty well trained in that.
Pretty excited to be a dad dip though

I wear mine everyday :)

Belts and gloves are for pussies :)
a belt isn't really. I wear mine to essentially act as a waist shaper. it causes my midsection to sweat and squeezes it tighter. my vacuum has gotten much better since i started wearing it every day. but if you use it because you can't skwat without then fuck you

So your saying that a belt to be used as a waist shaper is fine but using a belt to squat makes you a bitch?
