hi fellas, long time luker first time subscriber .
anyway today after a few sets i had 315 on deck on the flat bench after 11 reps i felt and heard a rip in my left pec / armpit area. not good .
so my question is while im recouping should i still be pinning ?
i could prob do sum cardio and squats ..
thanks for any input advice ..
 
That can be (and likely is) a very serious injury. Tendons get ripped, which heal much more slowly that bones. Is there a lot of bruising/discoloration?

I get micro tears in my hams, but am very careful to not damage them further. Actually, come to think of it, was kicking the bag even though I got a tear recently.

A year and a half ago I got a micro tear from leg curls. This time, I injured it doing a Thai style inside reaper kick, 3 times real fast. I got the micro tear from snapping my leg back. I am 50, but still try and train like I did at 30.

You need to see a doc, since you may need re-attachment. I would do low dosage test and deca to heal (150-200 mg each per week).

I, like you never want to miss training: I have hobbled around the gym on crutches too many times. Even trained w/ multiple compound fractures to my face one week after all the steel plates were put in.

I realize now that it is usually better to take some time off to avoid further injury.
