Okay, here's the deal....

Let's say someone had an idea that was a definate money maker. Problem is, it would cost wayyyy too much money to try and implement this idea by ones self, or even with a few partners. However, there are many huge corporations already involved in this field, just without the new venture/twist that would make someone that had the money, a lot more money. How might one try and sell them this idea without them just stealing it and claiming it as their own??? I hope this made sense..... I can probably clarify if I must.....

I know there are a few people on this board that have some knowledge they can share on this topic......

Oh and sorry for making everyone think this early in the day.....

Post a pic???? What are ya nuts??? A pic of what???

As far as a patent, I don't think it can be patented seeeing as it is an idea for opening up a whole new customer market..... Hard to explain without giving it away.....

I gotta go eat right now but I will be back in a few hours.... Thanks to all that are trying to help.....

patent it if it's a product, register it if it's an idea. point is to create a legal wall around it. i'd research lawyers, get some advice and go for it if you think it's a great idea. too many people don't cash in on original thoughts.

get a lawyer and have him do the work for you, just to make sure you have all rights pertaing to what ever money making idea you have, then start asking ideas, atleast you are protected, bro when I opened my carpet cleaning busines I made sure there where no names like mine or even close and paid top dollar for my lawyer to do all the legal reserch, then I had him do my corporations filling for me, cost me about 1500. just for that, at least now if someone has the same name as mine, I have proof I tried to make sure that there was no other name like it.

if this made no sense thats because I just poped a pain pill in, and I am feeling it kick in, like my new avtar

any business plan presented should be preceeded with a non-disclosure contract to prevent theft of your idea as well as the telling of yur idea to other companies.

Register It And Do It The Right Way. I'm In The Middle Of The Process Now And It Gets Expensive But If You Put Work Into It And It Is Novel Then Protect It. I Assume You Feel There Is A Market For It. My Mother Always Used To Say (and Still Does) - If You Can't Afford To Buy Then You Can't Afford To Buy Cheap- Same Thing Applies Go To A Lawyer. My Lawyer Put Me In Touch With An Angel Investor Who Put Up The Majority Of The Funds (in Return He Gets First Right To Go Public).

All good advice.... Esco, I would like to know more about what you said and how I go about it. I am gathering that I should just contact a lawyer and see what he says..... As far as affording the lawyer, thats not a problem. Not to give up too much info but my idea involves commercial airlines and those are quite costly......

non-disclosure

Let,s say you present a large corp. chances are they want even sign the non-disclosure nor a non-compete clause. But say you do get to talk to them, and they sign whatever. If they like your idea, there is a good chance they will have their lawyers put a spin on the idea, so they can by-pass you, or they could just use your idea, and get their lawyers to run you out of money.

I guess what Im saying is be careful with your choice of a lawyer, whom you speak to about this, and which company you present this too.

Best of Luck in your new venture

Exactly what I am scared of..... I suppose if someone wants to steal it I am fucked either way......

pump is correct ... it's impossible to have an ironclad non-disclosure contract ... that's where a good lawyer or a few good lawyers come in to help make it as air tight as possible ... utilizing the other ideas and this one could prevent what your afraid of, but nothing seems to be 100% these days.

also if a big corp did steal the idea, even with a twist, the court system could still rule in your favor due to proof that all of a sudden a corp came up with your similar idea and that you do have a signed non-disclosure contract by them. that is if went this far ... have to take a chance either way. good luck bro.
