Does anyone put specific focus on your transverse abdominis?

How do you train it?

i actually just read about it and apparently it's supposed to pull your stomach in towards your body more almost like if you were to suck it In.

Looking at pictures it looks like something close by obliques and for one I am not isolating mine because of them ruining waist/back/shoulder proportion as per Dorian Yates/logic :D

There is no way to isolate just the transverse abdominis but it is a player in youre overall core and you can target it a bit better doing stability core training. Use a bosu ball and a stability ball assume the push up position hands on the bosu and feet on the stability ball then try and spell the alphabet with you feet. you can also do 45 degree planks were you start in a side plank then roll your top shoulder forward until you torso is 45 degrees to the ground and hold. Also weighted side dips can help but that will build more oblique in comparison which isnt what you want if you are going for vacuum stomach look.

I though you can just hold the vacuum pose in certain posotions. I was doing this for a little until I started working. I felt it. Hold for 15-60 seconds for 4 sets after abs. Actaully hard I only do 30. One was laying on stomach and make a gap under tummy. One was standing with arms on head. Like the pose itself. And then sitting straight up with hands on knees. I saw my vertical line get better. BUT... I also perfected my legs lifts. Sooo it could have been that. Realizing that leg lifts are better when you going all the way up almost making your back parrellel to the ground. But I can't even get close to that lol.
