Training Naturally vs. Training Enhanched

Hey bros just wondering how you would approach your training being natural vs being on gear?

I believe if you're natural or not running a cycle you should train real heavy 5-8 reps and hit all bodybuilding compound exercises (bench, OHP, weighted chin ups etc) and make sure you focus on progressive overload (more weight or reps each session). I also think it's optimal to train only 3-4 days a week so you're fully recovered & maybe even log your workouts so you know you're progressing. I've always seem to have made better gains doing this.

When it comes to being enhanced its all about VOLUME for me reps, reps, reps and leaving my ego behind. I always see better gains pre exhausting the muscle for example on bench press I'd do 3 sets of 30 on 135lbs to warm up, then my working set would be 3-4x dropping super sets 225x15 dropped 135x20 superset with 10 wide grip push ups, then just finish my workout with pec deck. I've tried doing this naturally and I felt like a sack of shit. I was really depleted, took ages to recover, and weren't getting stronger, but on gear it works wonders and I seem to make crazy gains with this style of training. People may disagree with me though haha :)

My body's recovery time is freakish to say the least. SO, and im natural, I train with fucking insane volume. I used to train how you described natties should train and really didnt make much progress. Once I moved away from that I BLEW up. Im training harder and with more volume than guys on gear are and getting results. BUT, I really can't recommend my training style for most people simply because most couldnt manage the recovery. For other natties, your training style would be preferred.

I guess everyone's different. How often do you train a week bud ?

I personally wouldn't make any massive overhaul type changes to your training on cycle. Granted, you will have an increased anaerobic work capacity in the muscle while on, but gradual increases in working volume (manipulate sets, reps, and progressive increases in resistance) should be the goal of each session, on cycle or natural. Most of my training is goal oriented as opposed to whether I am planning a cycle (off season, getting ready for a show etc.) The only "huge" alterations on cycle come with your diet and increasing macro nutrients to account for the increase nutrient uptake from AAS. I usually throw in a couple more working sets to a training session based on how I feel, but major changes are nil. Try different approaches and see which you like best! Seems you found what works best for you. Have fun with the training brother.

3 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on. So over the course of a week I train 6 days. An example would be chest and tris then bi's and delts, then legs (including deadlifts).
Ah yeah I get you so push, pull, legs, off, repeat. It's actually what I'm doing now too haha.

Yeah I deffo agree with you when it comes to macros brother! Thanks, you too !

Everyone is different, have to find what works best for the individual which can take years. I'll have to try your approach, that's extremely high volume. On cycle I personally like fst 7, which I have done once, as you get both strength and volume. Off cycle I gradually reduce weight, be realist to not get injured and keep a wide variation. I don't really follow a program off cycle.

The pump from FST-7 style training is madness. Absolutely skin splitting.

I saw the same thing you're describing. Use to believe all the overtraining hype. Until I stopped worrying about it and increased my volume/intensity/frequency, I saw gains and they continued. Also, the quality of my muscle changed. the striations seemed to pop more and more veins, fibers appeared. Could be bioscience but that's what I noticed. I'm natty as well and as long as I am consuming enough protein while making sure to rest, I recover pretty well. Training 6 days a week too.
