Bob's right, work has been taking up a bit of my time. Taxes are done, the pain is over for 2003 but 2004 is already getting ugly. This is my first week back to the gym after a 2 week hiatus.

Pretty soon you'll be the Incredible Shrinking Man.

Dont know about that......I've been off for a month and still weigh 234....and though my strength was off a little during the first exercises on my first night back, by the end of my training session, I felt like I was re-learning strength again with each successive movement.

It is funny, I had lost weight when i stopped dbol in late december and developed a cold right after.....I'd venture to say that the last time I used 'real' gear was the dbol.

I have not taken any clomid, hcg, nolva....and havent touched growth or insulin since december. If I was a betting man, I'd say I've been clean for a while now since each nut is about an inch and three quarters long and roughly an inch and a quarter in diameter.

What is even more funny is that I was going to start taking creatine again even though I thought I was still on a replacement dosage of test and within a week, I had put on 4-5 pounds that I had lost after the dbol. However, I started blowing sand out my ass as is normal for me when I use creatine and so I stopped using it. I'd wager that I could get to 239 again with creatine alone.

Hmmm, I wonder how big I could get with some real gear...

Oh, and Bob, when I got home from wednesday's training session, my arms felt huge, so I taped them and the good arm measured 19-3/4" with a pump. Cold, they still tape 19" which is down 3/8" from my peak in december at a bodyweight of 239#.

I'm definitely not a little boy right now but I dont feel as stacked as I did in december.

And no, I'm not a fat ass right now either. a little smooth compared to when I was fueled but thats about it.

Mind you, I've been 230 and over for the past 8-9 months. I believe that I have found support at this bodyweight and now its time to crack and maintain a bodyweight in the 240+ range for 2004.

One other thing - the 2 weeks off seems to have helped out a bit with a lot of nagging injuries - bicep/forearm, vastus lateralis, and hamstrings. I feel pretty friggin good right now. I like this natural thing too.....I feel like I cant get hurt.

I was reading the description thinking "Did he REALLY measure his nuts?" lol

Hogg, good to hear that your weight has stabilized at a nice level. A lot of people are really worried about taking a week or month off from the gym, fearing that they will shrink up like a deflated testicle. But as you found out and what Bryan describes as SD, with a week or two or four weeks out from the gym, your strength will decline which isnt that big of a deal for BBers. But also in that same time, you really wont lose any muscle. What you have experienced is a perfect example of this. It may take a week or couple weeks to get back to your previous strength levels, but you didnt lose any muscle mass while out of the gym. By extension, purposely lowering your strength levels (or keeping them roughly the same) will end up reducing the chance of injury. If anyone hasnt, they really should read the Strategic Deconditioning article over at the HST website.

As of yesterday, I'm down to 211. My cholesterol and triglyceride levels are all in the optimal/desirable range, blood pressure is great, pulse is pretty low. Overall I feel so much better than I did two months ago when I weighed ~230. I definitely wasnt comfortable being that damn fat. And all of this with absolutely zero cardio. No walking around the block, no biking, nothing.

So what are your goals BS? short term and long term?

Goals, I want big nuts like Hogg. :D

Short term, drop down to the 6-8% range. Id like to be able to do it while staying above 200. Right now, with my knee the way it is, thats going to put a little kink in my plan. Oh well, gotta be healthy in order to make progress.

Long term goals are to stay healthy physically (which seems far off from the way Ive been feeling this weekend). Id like to grow to around 230 at under 10%. I have no desire to compete in either BBing or PLing. Im vain, so I just wanna look good and be bigger than about 98% of guys.

I just wanted to add that I am finding a great deal of satisfaction in training 'clean'.

I think I'm going to start taking creatine this week and blow up like a water buffalo :D

Glad to hear that. Instead of muscle in a bottle you chose the path of muscle in a tub. Congrats ;)

LOL......I'm going to call myself 'natural' now too :D

Edit....errr, sorry, ummm, how about 'drug-free'.....

DANG I am scared to say anything on this thread. You guys make me feel like a dumb rookie.

I THINK I LIKE IT ..... =P~~

Remember Bob, your nuts were the size of Hogg's until you started thundersplace. Now the growth of your pasta noodle makes your nuts appear small. As for your second goal: 230 under 10% that is impressive. Hopefully you are lucky enough to stay healthy and train with the consistency required to reach that.

Ive been doing very well with eating and training the past 2 months. Unfortunately with my knee, Im not able to adequately workout at home so Ive been forced back to the public gym. Its actually not a bad change, for a short period of time.

I went to a therapist yesterday and got a decent diagnosis. Basically I have a fairly large strength difference between my left VM and VL. The VL is firing first and doing most of the work, which is causing my patella to track towards the outside. Some foo-foo isolation movements for a month or so and I should be back to normal. The guy measured my quad about an in or so above my knee. 21 1/2 on the left, 22 on the right. He kept saying "Damn youve got huge thighs!" :D
