I'm sure you will get a smattering of advice on this topic. Personally, the only "sick" I ever get is a sinus infection/cold about once a year. I usually continue training as normal or as best I can. Usually I might feel like crap until I start lifting, then I start feeling better. For some people the simple act of working out helps them recover, I reckon I'm one of them. As far as the meds go in relation to training, I don't know anything about what you are taking, so you need to research possible side effects and make sure you would be physically alright to train.
I reckon what I'm getting at is this. If it was me I would continue to train as best I could. If your situation worsens or refuses to get better, quit and go see your doctor again, because you might have a more serious ailment than originally diagnosed.
