Training with caffeine

Hi And thanks for reading.

I like to take caffeine 45-minutes pre-workout as it takes some of the pain away from the burn of heavy squats, and provides some useful aggression.
But my body does not tolerate caffeine well and the caffeine gives me the shakes and a kind of upset stomach feeling.
Is there anything i can take which will increase the effect of caffeine, thereby allowing me to consume less caffeine.
And is there anything which will flush the caffeine out quicker post-workout - so far a search indicates magnesium or peppermint tea may be useful for this

Thanks

Do you consume any quick release carbs pre-workout or intra-workout?

Caffeine won't make you go hypo but low blood sugar definitely will.

Use less caffeine or consume more simple carbs/sugars pre/intra training sessions.

I find caffeine a double edged sword - Its great for extra strength and focus but it KILLS my appetite for hours after training and makes me feel very anxious and edgy in an uncomfortable way. I find if I consume it before training then during working out when I would normally drink a lot of Dextrose etc I have no desire for it which then in turn makes me feel drained and tired. I also know because there are no carbs and sugars going into my system that my body is using muscle and bodyweight to then fuel some of the training which is completely counter productive. It can often keep me awake on a night too even hours later after consuming it. A case of the cons outweighing the gains I'm afraid.

Arousal of the adrenal system by any stimulants in theory always worsens appetite. Your body is in the mode of wasting energy and not its accumulation.

The best way to use caffeine is to buy it in pill form so you can ensure consistent dosing and get the effect you require.

100mg in one hit is more than enough for a training boost without unpleasant side effects.

Thanks !
I purchased some caffeine powder and i weigh it out, that way i know exactly how much i am consuming rather than taking a rough guess from estimating a cup of tea or coffee.
I take 500mg, because anything over 400mg makes your body use carbs as an energy source, rather than fat. And it really has helped, the six pack is coming through.
This is a fair amount of caffeine which i would to stick to if possible, is there anything that can flush the caffeine out quicker after the workout, so far a search indicates peppermint tea or magnesium maybe helpful

I take 500mg,

That's obviously too much for you bro and no you can't quickly "flush" a drug out of your system once it's in your bloodstream.

The simple answer here is use less caffeine and look at your pre-intra-post workout carbs.

500mg is a shitload lol. I’ve taken 200-300mg caffeine every morning on an empty stomach for a decade straight. Not one day off in at least 3,650 days lol. But 500mg would make even myself a little uncomfortable. Buy the pills and take one 30 minutes before training. They are 200mg. Add an ephedrine tab for real fun and focus.

For Sure.

My heartbeat would triple at that dose and I'd probably need medical attention ROFL

It's no surprise the OP gets the shakes and feels odd if he's taking so much caffeine in one hit.
Lol yeah and he sounds like he has virgin receptors for drugs! No wonder he feels funny after training.

Thanks !

Yup too much at once

Dose it 250mg and 250mg hours later if you need another shot.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

If you want it to clear quicker maybe snort it instead of swallowing... ;)

How much caffeine in mg do you take if it keeps you that long?

Damn man you guys are making me feel like a caffeine addict.

I take Woke AF Black atm and it has 375mg of caffeine in a single scoop. When I got really bored during covid I started double scooping and it was absolutely insane.

750mg of caffeine is no joke. But those lifts were some of the craziest I ever had. Made me feel like I was on TNE.
