Purely hypothetical, how would I go about taking my "medication" (you know what I mean) with me on a domestic flight? Unfortunately I've lost my doctor's prescription. Carry-on bag or checked luggage? Write something on the vial?

Well...it depends in which country you go, some countires have restriction but they don't care (like a lot middle eastern countries). But put your gear always in the checked in luggage never in your handbag! What you wanna write on your gear " non-anabolic" ?!? lol

Just leave it like it is, if they got you they're not stupid....

By domestic, the US?

Put it your checked bag. You're not going through customs. No one's going to ask for a prescription or raise concern over an unlabeled vial or two, or syringes, even if your checked bag is examined for hazardous content by TSA once in the luggage stream.
