Tren A and Test cycle - sudden water retention ???

Long post but I wanted to give as much detail as possible I’m hopes to find a solution.

I know the subject of bloat and tren cycles has been discussed a lot on many forums but many seem like older posts. Hoping to get some fresh insight here.

45 years old
5’10 185 pounds
Body fat per dexa scan just over 11%
25 years training
Diet is very strict
Macro counting, 40/30/30 ratios, clean foods, low sodium
Currently running at a 250 calorie daily deficit
Running as a cutting recomp cycle

So this is my 3rd tren/test cycle. Always ran as a cutting recomp cycle

First two went great. Major gains and a hard dry look. Maintained a crazy and I mean crazy libido. Sides like swearing, insomnia and irritability/mental things were tough at times but I powered through.

Had labs done two weeks in to this 3rd cycle. All were good aside for slight elevation on 2 kidney functions. BUN and BUN creatinine were two points higher than normal range but I could attribute that to some dehydration. Was only drinking about 2 liters of water per day and have since increased to 1 gallon minimum per day. Those kidney functions are often slightly elevated for me. Been like that for years. On or off cycles.

So first two cycles were 12 weeks and 8 weeks. Both were identical
350 mg Test E
400 mg Tren A
No AI needed or used
No supplemental health support - yes, stupid I know.

For this cycle (reduced doses to help with sides)
Plus I’m getting older so wanted to be more conservative.
250mg Test Cyp (this is a change from Enanthate which I do have and can switch back to)
300 mg Tren A - same UGL as first two cycles.
NO AI
Supplements are:
N2 Guard
Low dose aspirin
Testolyze - supposed to help with DHT
CoQ 10 Ubiquinol
3000 mg fish oil

I’m now 4 weeks into this cycle

So first two weeks were as expected. Strength increased, gained about 5 pounds. Had that hard and dry look and amazing pumps. Libido was strong. Felt great. Just like the first two times.

Then in week 3 I started to notice that I looked flat. I thought carbs were too low so I bumped them up. No help. Then I started to realize although I was definitely gaining size I definitely looked a lot softer and smoother. My stomach for sure was holding water. I wouldn’t call it a bubble gut at all. Just softer. I am genetically very vascular. On cycle I get super veiny. I noticed my arms, quads and calves seemed to have lost some vascularity. I just looked very watery and puffy. Not so much in my face. Maybe a little. I thought the tren was messing with my head but even my wife agrees. On top of that my libido is bottomed out. It’s basically non existent. Aside from some minor night sweats and some disrupted sleep the sides are definitely better then the first two cycles.

So needless to say I’m puzzled. I’ve read it could be low estrogen or high estrogen, insulin resistance, progesterone etc….. I don’t have labs for another 3 weeks. Obviously that will tell a lot but 3 weeks is a long time so I’m searching for answers now. Based on my knowledge I feel like all things point to high estrogen. I definitely don’t have that desire to train like I did in the first two weeks. Getting pharma Arimidex has been tough. I finally ordered some Anastrozole from a Sarms company. Should be here in a few days.

Only things that are different on this cycle from the first 2 are:
My age. Another year to two older
Lower dosages of gear
Using Test Cyp instead of Enanthate
Running all the “health” supplements

Would love any feedback possible.

I think I can help you I responded in another thread about this issue too. Tren is not for a hard dry look. It is antikatabolic and makes your muscle bellys look Fuller. Of cause if you don't have masteron in your cycle then this will happen. With a dose about 300-400mg this would not happen because it drys the water out. And of cause you look a little bit flat especially at the start of the diet because of the missing carbs and you also have much fat so for sure that look does make you not happy. But as long as you are in a calorie deficit you will lose the fat and it will get better by the time. So everything I would recommend to you is. Add 300-400 mg masteron to your cycle and you should be fine. It although helps the libido, mood etc. So good luck in your diet!
