TRT and AAS Cycles

How many of the TRT patients here do AAS cycles in addition to their TRT....like 1 or 2 cycles per year? If so, does your Doc support you if you choose to do so? Swale, what is you position on this issue?

re:

I was also thinking about this earlier today...it would seem to me that being on TRT would make PCT a breeze.

I don't think that you will get many if any Dr's supporting doing drugs in an illegal fashion.

If cycles are the reason your on TRT, I dont know why someone would do that to themselves(risk to reward ratio not to good there). Maybe try Anavar if thats safe, or something that doesnt mess with your hormones like creatine.

If on the otherhand you did 20 hardcore cycles and never suffered ill effects go for it(opinion).

Swale does not support the use of AAS for illegal purposes. Period. A quick look through the threads will verify that position.

I'm sure that Swale and most other Docs don't support the idea (I have noticed Swale's comments against this)....my question really is.....will they still provide the TRT even though you are doing AAS on your own? I'm also not saying I would do this....just exploring all options and possibilities. Thanks gentlemen.

Do doctors withhold treatment from alcoholics that continue drinking even in the presence of hepatitis or worse? Do they withhold treatment from those that continue to smoke yet have developed asthma or emphysema, etc?

He's a doctor, not your conscious. I assume, like any doctor should be (who knows if they really are), he's interested preserving you in the best health he can. In a lot of cases, not just TRT cases, Doc's have to deal with people that seem dead set on circumventing their efforts.

I don't know where you are in your TRT process, but give it lots of time before deciding it's time to do a cycle. I spent the first 6mo of my TRT thinking, 'once I get all fixed up I'll do a cycle...'.

My goals, from AAS, were always aesthetic, I didn't want to compete, etc, just wanted to look good. I can honestly say, now, it is a lot easier to achieve my goals with low-normal E and solid, steady T levels than it EVER was with AAS. I stay healthy-lean at 10% to 12% BF, and continue to get modestly leaner on my own, AAS was always a disaster for my BF. I'm almost 35yo and benched more than I ever have in my life, just last week (325x5).

I am also noticing this same thing and I am not even finished tuning in :D

In fact just today I saw a guy in the gym I had not seen in about 6 months he was like damn bro what have you been doing? I said it's more importantly what I have not been doing. This guy looked pretty sad, fat and puffy said he was on 650mg of test/wk and going to kick it up to 1 gram.
He wanted to know what I was on and when I told him 100mg a week he looked stunned to say the least. I can't make fun of him, that used to be me.

Ender, that's good to hear! My thinking is.....if the TRT will allow me to look and feel good...like when I was in my late 20's, then I will hopefully see no need to do any AAS cycles. That would be ideal. More and more lately (I'm 47) I find it difficult to maintain what muscle I already have. My diet and and workout regimen is the best it's ever been. I just can't seem to make any more gains and seem to acquire fat much more easily than before. I feel I'm experiencing other symptoms of low T levels as well.

Beginning about 4 years ago I tried a few cycles of AAS to try and aid my efforts. I think I'm realizing that unless you have some decent endogenous T levels to recover to after a cycle, you will most likely lose all your gains.

Hopefully, I'll feel the same as you when I get my TRT ramped up..
