TRT Blues for the newbie?

I was always told it takes several weeks to feel the results when running AAS Test numbers.

With that said, day 1 post first TRT injection I felt surprisingly great. It was amazing but it only last ed 3 days and then I started to feel the decline. I was looking forward to my second shot to feel that high again only this time I don't feel it like I did the first week. Starting to wonder if it was all placebo now. I have taken supplements for years and cycled AAS irresponsibly so i am well aware if something is actually working as advertised.

Is this normal for TRT?

35yo

Natty test is 416

TRT is 100mg Test C 1x a week

Second dose came 8 days after the first.

I'm in this for the long haul so if I'm jumping the gun feel free to flame me.

100mg every 8 days? Are you getting this dosage from a doctor?

When I first met with the doctor we set a schedule for my next labs. He wants me giving blood 5 days after my 3rd injection. My first appointment with him was on a Wednesday and 5 days would have landed me on a Sunday for bloods and obviously that wouldn't work as they are closed.

I had the choice to come back the following day which would have landed me on a Monday for bloods but I chose to start that Wednesday evening because I was anxious and didn't want to spend the gas coming back the very next day. They were fine with it they just said that it would count as a Thursday since it was like 430pm on a Wednesday.

So I pin every Thursday. My bloods will be on a Monday (5 days post 3rd injection).

Yes from a Doc.

Ok.

It's always taken me at least 2-3 weeks to feel the effects of testosterone - that's why people either front load testosterone on a cycle or they use an AAS like Dbol to kick start their cycle when using testosterone. However, you're using testosterone for TRT, so be patient.

I started TRT with a clinic and not my primary doctor. My starting dosage was higher than your posted dosage. That being said, 100mg of testosterone is standard practice starting off with most primary doctors.

I would just follow your doctors advice and be very honest with your feedback during the process. TRT should be treating symptoms that you have - low energy, depression, cloudy mind, etc...

Your doctor will have a number that he/she is shooting for during this process, however just getting to that number doesn't mean your symptoms will improve. Make sure to talk to your doctor about how those symptoms are improving or not.

And yes, your test levels will go down towards the end of your week, which in theory may make you feel worse than the start of the week, however I really don't think it will be much since your levels will still be higher than they have been in a long time.

Frank

P.S. I'm not a doctor and you really need to speak to yours...this is just my personal experience and one person experience isn't a great number to measure success by.

Thanks for the feedback Frank! It's actually a trt/hrt clinic and not my primary. My primary dismissed my case because I wasn't "low".

I generally have all the symptoms you mentioned and they were gone the first few days after my first injection and my energy was rather extreme. So much that my normal 2 cups of coffee i have every morning actually gave me a buzz like I hadn't experienced in a long time.

Sounds strange so I chaulk it up like my test levels were through the roof or it was all placebo but I just can't see it being placebo. I was expecting the same results this time and so far nothing (I know I'm repeating myself).

I will take your advice and mention it to my doc when I see him next. Just a little bummed and hoping tomorrow I feel recharged like last week.

Real shortly you're going to feel better brother...

Natty test of 416 Not bad
Yeah could be better, could be worse.

I think my levels crashed on the 8th day. Probably dropped well below my natty number because today I'm starting to feel better.

Wish there was a way to monitor your levels daily like BP and O2

On Trt myself for nearly 3 years. 100mg PW. While it's important to maintain fairly stable blood levels I think it's importance is sometimes a bit exaggerated. A moderate & normal decline in levels leading up to the next dose shouldn't result in any noticeable psychological or physiological distress.
Testosterone levels of non steroid users can fluctuate too, quite normally.

Wildly fluctuating levels - or the post cycle abrupt cessation of steroids - is another matter of course.

If it bothers you just pin more frequently... problem solved.

I remember getting that"high" after my first few injections. May be placebo effect but I think having low test and then suddenly having it introduced definetly has some effect on the psyche. The "high" wears off after a while but after you get things dialed in it's great to just feel "normal" again.

Same here - but I started feeling high 5 minutes after receiving my first Sustanon shot from the Doc! Felt like I was walking on air - obviously complete placebo effect/bs but strong nonetheless.
