TRX workouts

We just got a huge TRX setup at my gym and nobody ever uses it. I looked up some workouts and tried them the other day and actually liked it. But I think its best suited for warming up and burning out. Anybody use the TRX and have any good links to routines? What's your take on the TRX?

Its one of the best ways to really use full body.

You have to know the form very good for most of the good ones.

And its made for each exercise to be for time, not reps. 45 -60 seconds.

Also the hardest ab workouts ever.

Right on, Ill have to look into more workouts. The time under tension makes sense. Nobody uses it at my gym, think Ill break some barriers with it tomorrow. Im going to check out the ab work outs right now and other dynamic workouts.

Drew brees has a few intense trx workouts on youtube. Specifically the abs one is filthy.

Its functional training is second to none for athletes, or anyone looking for balance thru the whole body.

its great for athletes and ill use it sometimes training abs. if you need a HIT switch up and are bored of your current routine you can do that and work your whole body. overall pretty cool

Ive been lifting heavy lately so I changed it up. I used it today and was suprised on how much it had me sweating. I focused alot on time under tension and using good form. I found it to really activate all the core muscles and to be very dynamic in that aspect. You can pretty much do any work out from flys, tricep ext and everything in between. Looking to be a good way to get cut up.

I love using my TRX. I bring it to state parks, hiking trails, football fields, etc. you can get a good workout anywhere outdoors. This thing helps keep my bf down. I love the full body routines for time and any an routines.

Just a little info if anyone is interested. I am big on saving money and found a company called WOSS that makes the same thing as TRX but at a fraction of the cost. Found them on Amazon. I teach Krav Maga and use them in all of our classes. They are a basic set up without all the frills but gtg.

If you research it the workouts are endless, just limited to your imagination really. Its great if you travel alot and dont have a gym accessible. Plus its got a great story about how it was invented. Ex SEAL team leader made it up during a deployment. Of course improved on the original design and now is rolling in money. Jujus is right some of their leg workouts are killer.

Yea dude I've been exploring the trx alot more and there's some really intense movements. Im kind of leary about losing my leg virginity to it just because some of the workouts look really gay, like cross fit gay. This video shows what Im talking about.

Crossfit is gay because it disregards form.

Trx is all form and body weight.

In the same way male gymnasts are hard mofos.

I totally agree with you and have mad respect for gymnasts and the navy seal who invented it. I personally would never do the workouts in that video. But Ill look into other leg workouts that aren't so flamboyant.

I started using the TRX at my gym due to the fact I had no other suitable place to do inverted rows. It seems to me the TRX is nothing but a patentable variant of gymnastic rings. Which is to say, it is a great device. You can do some killer core workouts on this thing, although some of the hardest upper-body exercises you can do on the rings are not possible to do in it.

From their videos I liked the TRX Performance MMA workout. It has a few good ideas beyond the basic exercises.

Besides TRX-specific workouts, you can look up gymnastic rings routines. One variant or another of them is usually possible.

Props on doing inverted rows in your routine :) I think its one of the best kind of rows you can do, its just too damn inconvenient to get done.

Its my pull day I did some inverted rows for the first time. It was a nice warm up and got alot of reps, really felt it in the biceps. I've been sore as fuck all week :)
